Student answer (Band 6.5)
Many people prefer to try variety of cuisine and places. While others like to stick on familiar with. I think people get more benefits by doing something new.
On the one hand, many individuals would like to taste various foods rather than fix choices and it is very advantageous for them. This is to say, through the exploration and experience people can learn somethings new. They get a chance to welcome new things they never done before. This experiences help to make new memories. Fore that reason change is necessary to move forward in life. For example, the USA attract thousands of tourist every year as their government renovate or develop many things after a certain time in oder to get new experience or memories for travellers.
On the other hand, opponents prefer to keep doing things they are knowledgeable with. Every place and food have their own speciality and because of that many individuals like to consist with that. As some people have emotional bond with food and areas, therefore they trying to avoid change. For instance, according to Indian news reporters majority of older people like to visit religious places like Haridwar and Kedarnath every year and prefer simple food such as curry and rice insted of fast-foods. Which gives them home-like experience.
In conclusion, according to some people by visiting different places and tasting numerous food helps to get them new experience and knowledge, whereas others would like to do similar things they are known with. But, I believe change is crucial part of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding the USA is vague and does not clearly link to the concept of 'trying new things' versus 'familiarity' in a convincing way. The argument for the opposing view is better supported with specific examples like Haridwar and Kedarnath. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand your supporting points with more detailed explanations rather than relying on general statements. The position is consistent throughout the essay, which is a positive aspect of your task response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central topic. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are slightly awkward, such as 'Fore that reason' (likely meant 'For that reason') and 'Which gives them home-like experience', which is a sentence fragment. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence connects logically to the previous one will help improve the overall flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You rely on simple phrasing such as 'new things', 'good', and 'do'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'fix choices' instead of 'fixed choices' and 'consist with that' instead of 'stick with that'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the English language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the reader. Examples include 'prefer to try variety of cuisine' (missing article), 'stick on familiar with' (incorrect preposition/adjective usage), and 'they never done before' (incorrect verb tense). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are issues with sentence boundaries, such as the fragment 'Which gives them home-like experience.' To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed accurately without missing auxiliary verbs.
