Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both sides of the prompt and provides a personal opinion, though the development is somewhat uneven. The discussion on why people prefer familiar routines is clearer than the section on those who seek new experiences, which feels slightly disjointed. The ideas are relevant, but the support provided—such as the mention of 'future concerned' individuals—could be more explicitly linked to the core theme of familiarity versus novelty. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed point that directly answers the 'why' behind these attitudes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly misused, such as the awkward transition 'As , every country'. Some sentences lack logical flow, particularly in the second paragraph where the shift from food to travel feels abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the punctuation—specifically the spacing around commas and colons—is inconsistent, which distracts from the overall flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used to connect ideas logically, rather than just starting sentences, would significantly enhance the coherence of the writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There is a reliance on basic or repetitive phrasing, such as 'perform similar things' and 'working ones'. Some word choices are imprecise or non-standard, such as 'future concerned' and 'attractive towards' (instead of 'attracted to'). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated collocations or idiomatic language limits the score. To progress, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to lifestyle, travel, and personal habits, and practice using these words in natural contexts.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every country... have'), incorrect word forms (e.g., 'health concious'), and misuse of articles and prepositions. Punctuation is also problematic, with spaces placed before commas and colons. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher level of accuracy. Focusing on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and standard punctuation rules would lead to immediate improvement.
