IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people like to try new things, for example, places to visit and types of food. Other people prefer to keep doing things they are familiar with.

Discuss both these attitudes and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Unquestionably, every coin has a two sides so are the people, thus society is divided into two groups and therefore, some individuals prefer to explor new places while other like the same familiar place to visit again. This essay will compare and contrast both views along with my opinion in the conclusion.

Initiating with the point supporting the first school of thought, firstly, people get boared from same places frequently, they always urges to try somethin new. for example, extrovert personas are most likely to explore new place or try new food item rather then trying the same one which provides new experience to individual. Secondly, by visiting to new city or hillstation one would know more about there people culture and they get new ideas as well. Tourist are major example of this which helps in cultural exchange between communities. Subsequently, it allows one to give suggestion to other who wants to try that thing for the first time. If one had already tasted a specific dish he would recomend their friends or family meamber.

On the other hard people who did not like to explore different things say that they don't like to waste their time and money on new thing. They find satisfaction in the same familiar product they are using from long time. In addition, most of the individuals dose not like to interact with new people so this also a major reason people go to same place in there vacations. Moreover, it duvelops the feeling in them that they belongs to this place which provides them contentment by experiencing same things over the time. Another main reason would be people are not likely to take any risk while traveling to unknown place so security is also main thing which ristrict people.

In conclusion, exploring diffrent places or not it solely depends upon persons preference and there mindset which they like. I think visiting to new placs provide more experience to individual which might help one in future in diffrent ways.

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'extrovert personas', 'cultural exchange', and 'contentment'.
