Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is argued that some prefer to visit tourist places and taste different foods, whereas others believe that it is better to follow daily routine. I believe that people who explore nurmerous foods and places improve their living standard.

One reason for visiting different attractions and restaurants is to enhance their lifestyle. This is because tourism exposure gives them information about the distinct culture, tradition, flavours, and gain knowledge about their habitat. People can not only know about their living standard but also gain information about their healthy diet, which allows them to eat hygenic food. For example, a person visited Japan, and experienced the Sushi dish, which is popular among Japenese. This dish will help to improve their chelostrol level. Therefore, by getting this information, people can add various healthy meals in their daily diets, which also keep citizens healthy and fit.

Conversely, opponents argue that it is beneficial to stick on a regular lifestyle. some people often get sick after eating fast food and the environment most likely to be unsuitable for them to stay longer away from their home. These problems effect them mentally and physically. People often prefer to live in their own routine, a lot of travel and taste may inbalance their lifestyle. It also disturb their work life. Due to longer vacation and travelling, they might get sick. So it is better to stay in their hometown, and they choose to live a normal life.

To conclude, although exploring world is not a bad idea for some individuals, which may initiates several health issues, the best way to get knowledge about food and place with proper guidance makes people more wiser to live longer.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. For instance, the argument regarding the health benefits of Sushi is a bit simplistic and lacks a logical link to cholesterol levels. The counter-argument regarding the negative effects of travel is also slightly underdeveloped, relying on generalisations about sickness and work-life balance. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced explanations and ensure that your examples directly support your main points rather than making broad, unsubstantiated claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Conversely' and 'To conclude' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, in the second paragraph, the transition from discussing culture to healthy diets feels abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help create a more cohesive argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'distinct culture' and 'unsuitable'. However, there are several spelling errors ('nurmerous', 'hygenic', 'chelostrol', 'Japenese', 'inbalance') and some awkward word choices, such as 'makes people more wiser'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic terms and pay closer attention to collocations and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('which initiates several health issues') and incorrect verb forms ('a person visited Japan, and experienced'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some errors in sentence construction that occasionally make the meaning slightly harder to follow. Increasing your control over complex sentence structures and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy will significantly improve your score.
