Student answer (Band 6.0)
There are split opinion about people like to try new things such as places to visit and types of food and some people prefer to repeat the things they are familiar with. Some believes to learn new things, for example, places to explore and try different foods. While other group of thinkers support doing the same chores they are aware off. However, both has its pros and cons. Therefore, commenting on my decision, both the opinion would be discussed.
Examining the former opinion, the primary argument the supporter put forward is repeating the same tasks they are familiar with can give them confidence to complete the event. This is because they feel confident because they already know the process. in addition, they also believes repeating task can make them more accurate. The reason is this can save their time and completed the task on time.
On the contrary, the latter view suggest that learning new things, for example, exploring nearby places and several types of food will make them close to the community and keep them up to date with the city life. Besides this, trying new places and food helps them to come out of their comfort zone and learn about the different tradition and cultures.
To conclude and give my opinion, i would say that exploring new places and trying more food is the appropriate way to deal with this situation. In a big picture, this would help individuals and community to build strong ties and make them learn about the new culture and traditions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument for repeating tasks is explained only by 'confidence' and 'accuracy' without concrete examples. Similarly, the benefits of trying new things are mentioned in general terms. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with specific, illustrative examples from your own experience or general knowledge. The introduction is slightly repetitive and could be more concise to allow for deeper exploration of the main body points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the contrary', 'In addition', and 'To conclude'. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Examining the former opinion'. Additionally, there are issues with referencing; for example, 'both the opinion' and 'both has its pros and cons' (should be 'have') show a lack of precision in linking ideas. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring they flow more naturally between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'comfort zone', 'up to date', and 'traditions'. However, there are instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'group of thinkers' and 'aware off' (should be 'aware of'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and lacks the precision or sophistication required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Some believes', 'other group... support'), article usage, and pluralization ('There are split opinion'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules such as verb endings and noun-verb agreement. Incorporating a wider variety of complex structures with greater accuracy would also help raise your score.
