Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has been noticed that some people like to experience different things in their life such as different cuisines and landscape. While other group of individuals prefers to stick with the things they are familiar and comfortable with. From my perspective, it is always better to try something new because it help us to gain unique experiences and expand your horizon.
To commence with, experiencing similar things repeatedly may not only leads to boredom but also to limited knowledge. Visiting same place every year for vacation and trying same type of food can limit individual's adaptability and sense of appreciation towards other cultures and their people. Meaning that, such people may develop a racist behavior regarding other communities, because they never get a chance to know about their culture and values. For instance, many individuals who migrates to diverse countries from isolated areas, may find it very difficult to adjust, in terms of food, language and values. This is because, they never travel and experience such environment before in their life.
On the other hand, individuals who are always open to try out new experiences and cuisines may have broader perspectives along with better understanding of other's culture, weather and moral values. Such individuals may have higher chances of success in both personal and professional aspect of life. As they stand out more in the crowd, by their knowledge, experiences and behavior. Traveling to different locations build multiple qualities in individuals

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. While the ideas are relevant, the argument regarding 'racist behavior' is a significant over-generalization and lacks logical support, which weakens the overall task response. The conclusion is also missing, leaving the essay feeling incomplete. To improve, ensure you meet the word count requirement and provide a balanced, well-supported conclusion that summarizes your main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a basic logical progression. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, 'Meaning that,' is used as a sentence fragment, and the transition between the two main body paragraphs could be smoother. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the lack of a concluding paragraph disrupts the overall flow of the argument. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are some awkward collocations, such as 'migrates to diverse countries from isolated areas' and 'build multiple qualities'. While the meaning is clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and collocations, and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate rather than relying on basic descriptive terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('may not only leads to', 'individuals who migrates'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not fully impede communication. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, pluralization, and the correct use of complex sentence structures. Proofreading for these specific types of errors will help increase your score.
