Student answer (Band 6.5)
There are many people who are eager to experience new experiences in life such as trying different cuisines or visiting different places. While some people like to do the same thing they are more familiar with. Although doing the same things can help them prevent from unknown risks and make them feel comfortable, I believe that trying new things can help people in developing new skills and face different challenge.
On the one hand, people seeking to try different stuff helps them to acquire new skills. As they go out to different places or eat different food, they will obtain more information regarding the history, people and their culture. This will help them expand their knowledge and understanding and develop interpersonal skill. Similarly, exploring food and traveling places can also help people face unexpected situation and these people will be capable of dealing such moments making them fearless and more confident. For instance, people who try new adventures in life are more daring, independent and outgoing which are essential in this contemporary era.
On the other hand, those people who likes to perform only the tasks that they have done already in life are less likely to face any kind of risk. They are prepared of the challenges that might be coming their way which will make them safe from several hazards. Furthermore, doing only familiar things make people feel comfortable, especially introverts. They don't have to go through sudden threat or danger and can enjoy their space. To give an example, people who don't like to challenge themselves with adventure and trying new things like sky diving, or scuba diving have better life expectancy.
To conclude, attempting various new things in life makes people more prepared towards the risks they might be facing in their life and help in development of interpersonal skills while, people doing only familiar activities will not have to face sudden risks, and rather live a comfortable life. In my opinion, being exposed to more challenges prepares people to face any kind of situation in the life. Therefore, people need to go out often and experience new surroundings and food.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, though some arguments, such as the claim that avoiding skydiving improves life expectancy, are slightly tenuous and could be better supported. The position is consistent throughout the essay. To reach a higher band, ensure that all supporting examples are logically sound and directly reinforce the main point, as some generalizations regarding 'introverts' or 'life expectancy' lack depth or nuance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used effectively to separate the two viewpoints. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the slightly awkward phrasing in the opening sentence. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use some less common items like 'contemporary era' and 'interpersonal skills'. However, there are instances of repetitive or imprecise word choices, such as 'different stuff' and 'doing the same thing'. Some collocations are slightly unnatural, such as 'prevent from unknown risks'. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and refining collocations to sound more natural and sophisticated.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('those people who likes') and prepositional errors ('prepared of the challenges'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor slips in sentence construction. The range of structures is sufficient, but the frequency of errors prevents a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
