Student answer (Band 6.0)

Time has been passing abruptly which in itself brings advancements in technology, enhancing ways of living, and many other developments. From doing classic things to adapting modern lifestyle governed by many factors which ranges from natural to forcefully implying in the routine. In the following paragraphs the contributing factors are highlighted regarding the choice of doing the things.

For creative and outgoing personality people, it is considerably easier to adapt themselves as per the requirement of time. These people are influenced by adventurous tasks and methods to make their life more simple. Therefore, their approach is to try new trends followed in the city. Furthermore, their ideology plays a crucial role in walking less trodden paths such as visiting the fresh newly started places whether eating spots, new clothing designs, new haircut and every other change.

On other hand, there also exists a personality type who resists every single change. Specifically, their approach is to live simple life with minimum resources and cut down every unnecessary cost. Change in other words refers to as upgradation. Further, they encircled themselves on the basis of comfort zone. For them crossing the comfort line means wastage of time as well as money such as if ever they tried food in new restaurant and they do not like the taste, they would never try any other unfamiliar food in future.

Overall, as per my close consideration it solely depends upon the personality type as well as the environment in which the individual is brought up.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the discussion on those who resist change is supported by a single example regarding food, which lacks depth. The introduction is slightly vague, using phrases like 'time has been passing abruptly' which do not clearly set up the topic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed examples and ensure your position is clearly stated not just in the conclusion, but also throughout the body paragraphs to ensure a more consistent argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'furthermore', 'on the other hand', and 'specifically'. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'change in other words refers to as upgradation'. Additionally, some sentences are slightly disjointed, which affects the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would help to improve the overall coherence and cohesion of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'adventurous', 'ideology', and 'comfort zone'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'forcefully implying in the routine' and 'encircled themselves on the basis of comfort zone'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise vocabulary to express your ideas. Avoid using overly complex words if you are not entirely sure of their correct usage in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'personality type who resists' (should be 'types who resist'), 'refers to as upgradation' (should be 'is referred to as'), and 'fresh newly started places'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. You should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive voice. Proofreading your work for small errors in articles and prepositions would also significantly improve your accuracy.
