Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the modern world, few individuals like to try new things in their lives instead of doing similar activities in their daily lives. They always like to travel to new places and eat new food. However, some people love to do the same things and do not like to try new ones. There are several reasons behind it that I will share in the upcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, in todays world, Many people prefer to try new things because they are fond of getting new experiences in their lives. they travel to new places and eat new food, which helps them to get knowledge about their culture and norms. As, they are never bored in their life For example, Visitors always prefer to visit new places and do new activites, try new food that is very helpful for them for getting knowledge about new places. In my opinion, this is the best way to get familiar with other places and make life enjoyable.
On the other hand, nowadays many people love to do similar things in their daily life, especially elders, because they are habitual of and it gives them inner satisfaction and happiness to do the same things instead of doing different things. For example, Youngsters mostly try to do new activities, elders have fixed schedules in their daily work in which they find more comfortable.
Conclusion, Many people like to do different activities in their life because they want to try new experiences in life, but some love to do similar things because they find it more comfortable also, they are habitual of it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that people enjoy new experiences for knowledge and elders prefer routine for comfort, these points are not fully extended with specific, detailed examples. The essay tends to repeat the same ideas (traveling and food) rather than exploring the broader implications of these attitudes. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more nuanced explanation of why these attitudes exist, rather than simply stating that they do. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully synthesize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by repetitive phrasing and awkward sentence transitions. For example, the sentence 'As, they are never bored in their life' is grammatically disconnected from the preceding thought. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, and the progression of ideas could be smoother if you used a wider variety of linking words to connect your supporting points to your main arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use the same phrases, such as 'try new things', 'new places', and 'new food'. To improve, you should aim to use a more varied range of vocabulary, including synonyms and less common lexical items related to the topic of lifestyle and personal preferences. There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'habitual of', which is not a standard collocation. Expanding your range of collocations and using more precise terminology would significantly enhance the quality of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally affect readability. Issues include incorrect punctuation (e.g., 'As, they are never bored'), capitalization errors (e.g., 'Many people'), and missing articles or incorrect verb forms. For instance, 'they are habitual of' should be 'they are accustomed to' or 'they have a habit of'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent punctuation will help improve your accuracy.
