Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some individuals like to try new things such as travelling to different places and exploring different types of food. while others prefer to keep doing the things they are familiar with. While doing same things wont affect your life but I believe trying new things will improve your lives.
Citizens are often doing the same things like going to work and staying at home, then again repeat the same, this will not affect anything, Many people follows the same because they were really afraid to doing different things, because they believe this would put them into risk. For example, A man in the UK spent 30 years in the same company, even he had a chance to start a business or changing the company he didn't do, because he is afraid of taking risk, he thought if we lose in business what we do, then our home will be in debt, so better to keep going to job, but in the end he did not save anything.
On the other hand, people who are trying new things instead of doing the same job are achieving a lot. For example, Indian cricketer Virat was started his career as a IT employee, But he felt that the job was boring and he would not improve his career there. then he made a decision to follow his passion, by taking that risk, now he is became an top cricket player who plays nationals for the country.
In conclusion, People may be afraid to try new things, some time it may end in risk but still I believe if they try new things they will achieve something or they will improve in their career.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all parts of the task by discussing both attitudes and providing your own opinion. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. The example of the man in the UK is a bit vague, and the example regarding the cricketer is factually inaccurate, which weakens the persuasiveness of your argument. To reach a higher band, ensure your examples are more specific and logically sound. Your position is clear throughout the essay, but the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended to demonstrate a deeper exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand' and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in your writing. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the logical progression is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will help improve the overall coherence of your response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'passion', 'career', and 'debt'. However, there is a lack of variety and precision in your word choice. You tend to repeat simple phrases like 'doing the same things' and 'try new things'. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and collocations. Additionally, there are some minor errors in word formation and usage, such as 'he is became an top cricket player', which slightly detract from the overall quality.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses ('was started', 'he is became') and sentence punctuation (e.g., starting sentences with lowercase letters after a period). Subject-verb agreement and article usage also need attention. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of complex sentence structures will help you achieve a higher score.
