Student answer (Band 6.0)
People have different attitude towards different experiences. Some of them enjoy the things they are already familiar with. However, other think that trying new things can be more valuable. Both points have advantages and i will discuss both viewpoints and give my opinion.
There are myraid advantages behind this phenomenon that people love to spend their time on those activities that they already know as this helps to save their time and make individuals stress free. Doing something they already know can decrease disappointments. For instance, going to same restaurant and travelling to familiar places help them to relay on quality and they can also enjoy the company.
On the other hand, most of the individuals love to visit new places or they want to try new things. This is more beneficial as they explore new places and try different food items from different cultures. This `helps them to be open minded and visiting new places with friends and family become more memorable. In my own experience, I love to visit new restaurants and try different food items helps me to remind history.
In my opinion, i would like to say that trying new things can be more beneficial as this helps to explore different opportunities but sticking to familiar things can reduce the risk of disappointments and can provide comfort zone to the individuals.
In conclusion, in the views of assertion outlined above, , sticking to familiar things offers comfort and reduces risk, whereas trying new things provides opportunities for learning and personal growth. I believe that having balanced life is best, but people generally want to explore more.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that familiar activities save time and reduce stress, and that new experiences promote open-mindedness, these points are not fully extended with detailed examples. The personal example regarding restaurants is brief and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough explanation of why these attitudes exist and include more specific, illustrative examples to support your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand' and 'In conclusion' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For instance, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph is abrupt. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences feel slightly disconnected. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one will enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'myriad', 'phenomenon', and 'open-minded'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'relay on quality' (should be 'rely on quality') and 'remind history' (should be 'recall history' or 'learn about history'). The vocabulary is generally sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'People have different attitude' (should be 'attitudes'), 'other think' (should be 'others think'), and 'i will discuss' (should be capitalized 'I'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the double comma in the conclusion. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. You should focus on subject-verb agreement, consistent capitalization, and proofreading for minor punctuation slips.
