Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is an ongoing debate in this globalized eon that some individuals like similar activities to do as compared to others who like to do distinct tasks. I presume that there is fun when a person try different things all the time. Both the views will be elaborated with relevant examples in the upcoming paragraphs.
Examining the former opinion, people stands in favour to try various things have own reasons. The paramount
concrete reason is entertainment. This is because people easily get bored when they follow the same routine again and again. For instance, when humans cook same food daily at their home, they will not like to eat that food after two days. That is why, people prefer numerous types of food in order to have some excitement. Not only this, there are also various people who want to explore all the world. It does not matter for them that how much cost and time it would take .So, human beings explore every corner to get memories and know alternative ways to live life.
On the contrary, considering the latter view and their opinion, people thinks that it needs time and money to go and try new place and food respectively. Moreover, some people say that sometimes it is wastage of money to visit a new place. Because people do not know that exact review of that location as well as taste of food. Therefore, they prefer similar place to visit and same restaurant to eat.Personally, I always go to same place to eat when I have cravings for dosa.
To conclude, it can be reiterated that there are innumerable facts determining that preferring distinct things have their own importance. However, the enjoyment to do familiar task cannot be neglected.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the desire for variety to avoid boredom versus the practical concerns of time and money. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the argument regarding the cost of trying new things is a bit superficial and could have been expanded with more sophisticated reasoning. The position is clear throughout, but the overall depth of analysis is more characteristic of a Band 6 level, as some points are briefly stated rather than fully explored.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each viewpoint, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the contrary', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical. The progression of ideas is generally clear, although the link between the personal example of eating 'dosa' and the broader argument could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different perspectives, which helps the reader follow the argument without difficulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'globalized eon' and 'paramount', though 'eon' is used slightly inaccurately in this context. Some word choices are repetitive or slightly unnatural, such as 'similar activities to do' or 'exact review of that location'. While the range is sufficient to convey meaning, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people stands in favour', 'people thinks') and article usage (e.g., 'explore all the world'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. The punctuation is generally functional, but the control over complex sentence forms is inconsistent, which limits the score in this criterion.
