Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some people believe that children should be taught how to use computers and other technology from a very young age. Others believe that children should spend more time on traditional activities such as reading books, playing outside, and interacting with other children.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Many individuals believe that children should be learn how to opreate computer at very young age om the other side some believe that they have to spend more time in outdoor or tradition activities for example book reading, out door activity such as badminton cricket, or try to make new friend by intracting them. Here we disscuss both view in upcoming paragraph.
On the one hand most of people believe children learn how to operate computer at very young age just because we are living in 21th centuary where everything is fast and advance as compared to previous once by learning computer we can can do everything on a short notice period like making files by using excel. it make thinks easy for everyone children can learnt so many thinks by using computer like different kind of course are available online by using them they can learnt these things that helps in future.
one the other hand many people believe that out door activies are more important because by doing outdoor activites help children to stay fit. during the outddor activies children can make new friends that help in build confidence. they can interact face to face with other children that help in personal growth as well. children can make their future in sports also like cricket and olympic as well.
in conclusion, although advance technology can help children to devolop skiils from a young age, traditional activities are also important for their physical and social development. In my opinion, children should have a balance between using technology and taking part in activities such as reading, playing outside and communicating with others.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 3.0
The response is off-topic. The prompt asks to discuss the attitudes of people who like to try new things versus those who prefer familiarity. However, the student wrote an essay about whether children should learn technology or engage in traditional activities. Because the essay fails to address the specific task prompt provided, it cannot be scored higher than a 3.0 for Task Achievement, as the content is entirely irrelevant to the question asked. While the student does provide a position and some supporting ideas, they are not relevant to the actual topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which provides a basic structure. However, the logical progression is hindered by the fact that the content does not match the prompt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand' and 'in conclusion', but they are often used mechanically or with spelling errors (e.g., 'one the other hand'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the overall flow is affected by the disconnect between the introduction and the actual task requirements.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'opreate' instead of 'operate', 'centuary' instead of 'century', 'thinks' instead of 'things', and 'devolop' instead of 'develop'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the word choice is often basic or inaccurate. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in spelling and word formation significantly limits the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('children should be learn'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with run-on sentences and missing commas. While some attempts at complex structures are made, they are often faulty and contain errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. The control of grammar is weak, and the frequency of errors is high.
