Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the explanation for why people prefer routine is restricted to 'introvert nature' and 'challenging' tasks, which lacks depth. While the prompt is addressed, the supporting arguments are quite brief and could benefit from more specific examples or detailed reasoning to reach a higher band. The essay structure is present, but the content remains at a fairly superficial level throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To simplify it' or 'To commence with the reasons'. There are also issues with referencing and sentence flow; for example, the transition between the two main body paragraphs is abrupt. While the overall arrangement is coherent, the lack of sophisticated linking words and occasional lapses in logical flow prevent a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several noticeable errors in word choice, such as 'comfort join' (likely meant 'comfort zone'), 'distinct cousins' (meant 'cuisines'), and 'broden the horizon'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on basic descriptors. To improve, you should focus on learning collocations and ensuring that the words chosen accurately reflect the intended meaning in an academic context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('other love to follow', 'people visit... and try heir native food'), incorrect word forms ('cruical'), and punctuation errors, such as double periods and unnecessary spaces. While the meaning is generally clear, the persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction are distracting. A greater focus on proofreading and mastering basic sentence patterns is required to improve accuracy.
