Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few Individuals like to try new places and food, while other doing the same things they are familiar with. I believe that explore new places and eat different food getting great experience.
Why people try different food and places. Firstly, few individuals have hobby to explore food and places and make a trip memorial .
Other reason is that, they think its having best way to spend time with our family and friends while visiting. Nowadays Technology is advanced and on the social media they share there food locations and reviews. If the review and food is tasty then they want to visit and try it.
On the other hand, why individual don't want go any new places, the main reason is that they are very busy in there work and life so they don't to try ant new food or location. Moreover, they do not spend money on other food because some the food is not tasty so they afraid to spend money on it and go with familiar food.
In my view we need to explore and try new places and food, our life is only one so we do whatever we want. Through visiting new places we learn different things like new culture , traditions and can make relation with different people. For instance last year i went Toronto and meat a person who was visit there talk together and make a friendship now he is my best friends whenever we make a plane we call each other and explore new places together.
In conclusion, i would like to reiterate that although if we visit new places and try food we are stay away from stress and other work load.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why people prefer familiarity is brief and relies on generalisations about being 'busy' or 'afraid to spend money'. The arguments could be more effectively supported with more detailed reasoning or nuanced examples. While the prompt is addressed, the depth of analysis is consistent with a Band 5.5 or 6.0 level, as some points are under-developed and the conclusion is slightly disconnected from the main body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Why people try different food and places' are used as headings rather than integrated sentences, which disrupts the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'If the review and food is tasty then they want to visit and try it', where the subject is ambiguous. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the logical progression within paragraphs could be smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There is frequent repetition of basic words like 'food', 'places', and 'try'. Some word choices are unnatural or incorrect, such as 'make a trip memorial' (likely meaning 'memorable') and 'meat a person' (a spelling error for 'met'). The student attempts to use some topic-related vocabulary, but the lack of variety and the presence of errors in word formation limit the score to a 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement ('few individuals have hobby'), article usage, and sentence construction ('they don't to try ant new food'). Punctuation is also problematic, with inconsistent spacing and missing commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors and the lack of control over complex structures prevent a higher score. The sentence structures are often repetitive.
