Student answer (Band 6.5)
In an increasingly interconnected world, trying new tasks is the commonly witnessed phenomenon. Some parts of society argue that it is beneficial to try new things in life such as visiting new places or trying new food, while others believe that it is better to keep doing same thing that they are familiar with. In my opinion, I strongly agree with the foremost part of the statement as it's implementation may bears certain merits.
To commence with, going to new places not only enable people to learn about different culture but also give them the opportunity to grow their business. To substantiate, by travelling to different places tourists get chance to learn about culture and traditions of the local people. In addition, they get the opportunity to understand that what local people are in need of and how they can expand their buisness. To cite an example, CEO of the Amazon mentioned in his interview that when he went to India, he found that a lot of people suffer from backpain and introduced a body massager in Indian market and did sale worth 3 million dollars. Hence, travelling to various location allows to understand the needs of the people and earn money.
In contrast, doing same things bring perfection and make comfort zone, ultimately making individuals to do same task for long period of time. In other words, preparing same food meal for long time allow individuals to prepare it in perfect way by adding exact quantity of the ingredients. Additionally, people are able to have a good diet as they are familiar with the nutrients of the food they eat. To quote an instance, famous soccer player Ronaldo told in his interview that he has been eating chicken rice in his meal from years on regular basis as it assist him to fulfill his protein and carbs intake. Therefore, eating same food is helpful to ensure you get all the required nutrients.
To recapitulate, trying new things is quite meaningful. Visiting new places enable to meet people from the diverse population as well as to enjoy some leisure time with loved ones. Moreover, trying new food able people to taste something new and add healthy meal to their diet.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the benefits of travel for business and the comfort of routine for health. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat uneven. The example regarding the Amazon CEO is a bit anecdotal and slightly tangential to the core argument about personal growth. While the position is clear, the conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs. Overall, the response meets the requirements of the task well.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used throughout, such as 'To commence with', 'In contrast', and 'To recapitulate'. However, some of these transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints. There are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between travel and business expansion could be smoother. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, though it lacks sophistication. There are some instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'foremost part of the statement' instead of 'former', and 'did sale' instead of 'generated sales'. Spelling errors like 'buisness' and 'backpain' (should be two words) also occur. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'interconnected', 'substantiate', and 'diverse population', the overall lexical control is limited. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on more precise collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('its implementation may bears'), missing articles ('in Indian market'), and awkward phrasing ('eating same food is helpful to ensure you get all the required nutrients'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to verb forms and article usage is needed to improve accuracy.
