Student answer (Band 6.0)
Most people prefer to visit different places and explore different dishes rather than other people wants to stay in the local areas. In the upcoming paragraph, I will discuss both opinion .
First of all, in the modern era people get stuck in the home towns because of their relatives, job opportunities nearby. Moreover, they want to spend their vacations in other cities because they want new experience and explore other places and they want to try a different species of food. For example every country has a special dish and people have craving to try these dishes as soon as possible and they want to share their experience with their near and dear. Secondly, in this technology period people are crazy to visit in the famous cities and post their pictures on the social media, so that they get comment and discuss about the visit place with their friends.
On the other hand, some people think that visit on the neighbour cities, it is waste of time and money. They think they can save money for their old age expenses. For example, in the young age they earn less amount of money that is like hand to mouth, if they spend these saving to visit different cities at the end they have just experience and some memories, which is not useful in the old age. Furthermore, some people has emotional attachment with the land where they are born and they do not want to leave those places at the end.
In conclusion, I am agree with those people who get a chance to visit different places in the world and elaborate their culture and share dishes with each other. It is a good connection between the human being and expand their ideas.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'technology' and social media is a bit superficial, and the counter-argument about saving money for old age is relevant but could be more deeply explored. The prompt asks to discuss both attitudes, which you have done, but the supporting examples are occasionally repetitive or lack depth. To improve, ensure that each point is fully explained with a clear link back to the prompt's core theme of 'new experiences' versus 'familiarity'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'First of all', 'Moreover', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'visit on the neighbour cities'. The concluding paragraph is a bit abrupt and could better summarize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would elevate the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, but there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors. For example, 'different species of food' is incorrect; 'varieties' or 'types' would be more appropriate. Similarly, 'visit on the neighbour cities' and 'I am agree' are non-standard. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the lack of precision and occasional misuse of words limit your score. Focusing on learning common collocations and refining your word choice will help you express your ideas with greater accuracy and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some people has'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'I am agree'), and missing articles or prepositions. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To reach a higher band, you should work on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly verb tenses and article usage, and try to incorporate more complex structures with greater accuracy.
