Student answer (Band 6.5)
It has been often observed that many individuals prefer to try new cuisines and explore new places, whereas others keep it traditional and do things they are already familiar with. However, I agree with the former viewpoint as citizens should experience new activities.
Commencing with the first opinion of trying new things, this provides people with socialization and diversity. To be specific, by trying new food from different countries restaurant people not only become familiar with there traditional food recipes but also communicate with that particular nations citizens, where they learn about their both culture and history and also make some new friends.
On the contrary, people prefer to keep same things because they want to save their time and money. In other words, many people who are in their 30s work full-time jobs and due to their workload they usually lack enough time to visit and try new things on their day-off instead they do house chores such as laundry and preparing meals for the next week. Furthermore, this also saves their finances because visiting to different places also consume persons money. For example, a group of friends visited to Niagara falls and they eat at different places and played some games which eventually leads their bills almost above $300 per person.
In my opinion, even if people try to complete their chores on weekends they should still maintain a work-life balance. Most importantly citizens should take part either in some physical activities or visit tourist places with their friends. This will not only improve their mental health but also increases their productivity at office.
In conclusion, I reinstate that numerous people like to stay within their normal life, but experiencing new things will lead to a healthy and socialized life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed. For instance, the argument regarding time and financial constraints for those who prefer familiarity is logical and supported by a concrete example. However, the development of the first viewpoint could be more nuanced; while you mention socialization, the connection between trying new food and learning history is slightly over-generalized. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are fully integrated into the argument rather than just listed. Overall, the position is consistent throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central topic, and you use cohesive devices such as 'Commencing with', 'On the contrary', and 'Furthermore' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by minor errors in referencing, such as 'that particular nations citizens'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two viewpoints and your own opinion. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices to link sentences more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'socialization', 'diversity', and 'work-life balance'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'keep same things' instead of 'stick to the same routine' and 'consume persons money' instead of 'is costly' or 'incurs expenses'. Additionally, there are minor errors like 'there traditional food' (should be 'their'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage to reach the next band level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles, pluralization, and prepositions (e.g., 'visited to Niagara falls', 'their both culture', 'leads their bills'). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'many individuals prefer to try new cuisines and explore new places, whereas others keep it traditional'. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the text. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions after verbs.
