Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, many people like to explore something new in their life whether it is about a place or a cuisine. While others prefer to stick to their old routine. Both the views along with my views will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs with the relevant examples.
Commencing with the most prominent reason why people like to try new things in their life, because in this hectic schedule individuals want some relaxation and due to boredom they may prefer to explore new things. For instance, go to different cafes and eat new food that further release happy hormones in their body like dopamine. Secondly, in this today's world people love to go to different places as they may often visit places related to history with the help of this people can grasp abundance of knowledge. This is best idea to know about other's history and also aid to spread awareness among the people. As a result, individuals can become more knowledgeable by following this trend. Furthermore, when people try cuisines from different cultures then there is a huge chance of strengthening the relation with other religions and countries because many people want to treat you with their popular so that others may like their hospitality. Consequently, in this way everyone can live equality and love without holding any grudges for one another.
However, there are many people who do not prefer change in their lives whether it is related to foods and places to visit. Because people may have fear of changing the things in their daily routine and many among them like to go with the same pace in their daily lives. Additionally, they might only like limited things for their rest of the life because they do not want to try something new and may be hard for them to bring something new and adjust it in their lives. As a result, they like to continue to live with the things they are familiar with.
To conclude, although trying new spots to visit and different cuisines would be the good idea to explore more that gives opportunity to gain more knowledge and to build relations with others, there are some people who do not want change in their lives as they have enjoying with the same things. I reckon people should try every place and food in their lives because we have one life to live and live it to the fullest.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of dopamine and cultural exchange for those who like new things, and the fear of change for those who prefer routine. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The explanation of why people prefer routine is less detailed than the first body paragraph, and some arguments, such as the link between trying cuisines and 'living equality,' are slightly tenuous. Overall, the position is clear throughout, and the task requirements are met.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Commencing with,' 'Secondly,' 'Furthermore,' and 'However.' However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'with the help of this people can grasp.' Additionally, there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints and the conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You use some good topic-specific terms like 'hectic schedule,' 'dopamine,' and 'hospitality.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'grasp abundance of knowledge' (should be 'gain an abundance of knowledge') and 'live equality' (should be 'live in equality'). There is also some repetition of basic phrases like 'new things' and 'in their lives.' Expanding your range of synonyms and focusing on more precise collocations would help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('in this today's world'), prepositions, and sentence fragments (e.g., 'because in this hectic schedule...'). Some sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, which affects the overall fluency. While you attempt complex structures, they are not always error-free. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
