Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is an ongoing debate whether people should try new adventures such as visit new places and try different kind of cuisine or they ought to give preference to repeat their activities on same things. In this essay, I will explain both the view points and give my opinion in the upcoming paragraphs.
One the one hand, Some people are more curious not only to explore but also gather knowledge about new place in their life. This could be the predominant factor behind the people who always seek to visit new places. Therefore, they often try to find distinct places to spend their time instead of going on same place. Moreover, extrovert could be another reason behind it. People who likes to meet and interact with new individuals, those people often try to visit various places either for food or other work. If they go on different locations to do something, they will get a chance to meet and interact with various people.
On the other hand, some people always choose place, food and activity in which they are quite familiar. They wants to stay comfortable in their life and they might enjoy their life much better with those than try new something. Consequently, they repeat their activities in which they feel comfortable. Additionally, some people think more about results before do anything. To be more precise, when people think more about the results then they are more likely to do same thing that they already performed like food or adventure. They do not like to take a risk and they do not want to waste their money. So, because of this fear they often denied to try new something.
In conclusions, although both perspective have their own facts such as extrovert and comfortability, I think people should try new things in their life by checking the reviews about that and getting information from the internet about the thing that they are planning to try.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the desire for knowledge and social interaction for those who try new things, and the preference for comfort and risk aversion for those who do not. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the explanation of why people prefer familiar things relies heavily on the concept of 'comfort' without exploring deeper psychological or cultural reasons. To reach a higher band, you should aim to extend your supporting arguments with more specific examples or deeper analysis rather than restating the same points in different ways.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'Consequently', which help guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'This could be the predominant factor behind the people who always seek to visit new places'. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as 'those people' in the second paragraph, which lacks a direct antecedent. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to specific nouns would enhance the overall cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'cuisine', 'extrovert', and 'risk aversion' (implied). However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'give preference to repeat their activities on same things' instead of 'prefer to repeat familiar activities', and 'try new something' instead of 'try something new'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and there is a tendency to repeat basic words. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise synonyms to avoid repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('People who likes to meet', 'they often denied to try'), article usage ('on same place'), and awkward phrasing ('before do anything'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure often feels clunky due to these persistent errors. To achieve a higher band, you need to focus on mastering basic grammatical rules, particularly verb forms and pluralization, and aim for more error-free complex sentences.
