Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some pupil opt to do new activities like going for trekking, eating other culture food etc. ,whereas, few others like to do things they are good with like somebody like baskeball they will go to garden to play baskeball with random. This essay will deliberate the effectiveness of both presecptive followed by my firm view which are mentioned in the subsequent paragraphs.
On the one side, some poeple have mindset of challenging the activites they are fear of. So, they try that activities and keep on trying new things and also sometimes this things can feel them more relaxed while doing. To examplicate, Work collegues nowadays prefer one get-together in a month like going to picinc or having team dinner which make the person more relaxed while having presentation with their collegues in company. To examplify, I have never tried south Indian food, because in my hometown they used to sell only idli and dosa, but when I came to canada and I went to south Indian restaraunts when I saw the menu they have many dishes apart from idli and dosa, so now my favourite cuisine is south india food.
On the other hand, few other individal opt to do thing which they know very well as well as doing certain things make perfect in that thing as well. To be add on this, sometimes group of friend gather at ground to play outdoor sports and they used to play cricket because every weekend they have free time but they spend their free time practising one sport to mastery that sport and they can go to play some tournamnets without spending enough time from their schedue in day to day life. For instance, Sachin Tendulkar was great batsman of Indian team, he was spending his weekdays to study the academic and he only gets free time during weekends, so he don't go with his familes at club to play differnet activities rather he chooses to take coaching of cricket for 4 hours a day and this things makes him what he is today.
To conlcude with, every people has their own way of spending time some like to do new things, whereas, other like to go for they are familiar with and they want to pursue with life. So, my opinion for this do things which make you happy and helps you to pursue you dream.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both sides of the prompt and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The first body paragraph provides a relevant example regarding food, but the explanation of why people enjoy new activities is slightly repetitive. The second body paragraph focuses heavily on the example of Sachin Tendulkar, which is a bit narrow in scope. While the prompt is addressed, the arguments could be more thoroughly extended with more varied reasoning. The conclusion is brief and slightly vague regarding the 'dream' mentioned.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one side' and 'On the other hand', but they are sometimes used mechanically or with grammatical errors (e.g., 'To be add on this'). The progression of ideas is generally clear, although some sentences are disjointed due to grammatical issues, which occasionally makes the flow of the argument feel slightly forced. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two viewpoints.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'some pupil opt', 'challenging the activites they are fear of', and 'mastery that sport'. Spelling errors are frequent, including 'presecptive', 'poeple', 'picinc', 'collegues', and 'conlcude'. These errors do not completely impede communication, but they do limit the range and accuracy of the vocabulary used. More sophisticated synonyms and better collocations are needed to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every people has', 'he don't go'), incorrect verb forms ('this things can feel them more relaxed'), and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction is a significant feature of the writing. Complex structures are attempted but often contain errors, which prevents the essay from achieving a higher score in this criterion.
