Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often argued that some individuals always keen to explore new location to visit and different kind of cuisine to eat. While others are exactly opposite. According to my perspective people should try variety rather than sticking to the old pattern, because new things make life smart, smooth and faster and we can gain knowledge of different zone.

To embark with first view, many folks like to visit different places on their vacation or in free time. To explain further, due to going on distinct location every time, people can learn about particular locality culture and tradition. Not only language but also it is great chance to try various local dishes of that surrounding. By adapting new skills we can make huge change in our daily life. For instance, an Indian renowned international company went on abroad tour for business purpose. After visiting they applied 5S cleaning method in India and now everyone following that to make their station and company clean.

On the other hand, many people does not like to change their routine, since it is viable and easy to complete the task. To expand, preparing new dishes sometimes challenging and in fact outcome can be unsatisfactory that is the main reason individuals follow same recipe for their food. Moreover, by visiting new location, sometimes difficulties arise such as weather, air and water. These challenges being reason of tragedy. To quote an instance, many tourists went Nepal during their vacation time, due to glacier melting issue a huge flood came across Nepal and China border. Consequently, not only many people lots their lives but also local folks lost their houses.

Hence to conclude, this essay has discussed both views in concern and it still stands on their initial position, everyone should make some changes in their life by visiting new places, learning new languages or trying new cuisines.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed both sides of the argument and provided a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The example regarding the 5S cleaning method is a bit disconnected from the general topic of travel and food. Additionally, the example about the Nepal tragedy is quite extreme and not entirely relevant to the general preference for routine versus novelty. To improve, ensure your supporting examples directly illustrate the benefits or drawbacks of the specific attitudes discussed. While the task is addressed, the depth of analysis could be more consistent to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To embark with', 'On the other hand', and 'Consequently' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'To embark with first view'. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. The conclusion effectively summarizes your position, though it contains a slight grammatical error ('it still stands on their initial position'). Overall, the progression of ideas is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices needs more flexibility and precision.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'cuisine', 'locality', and 'renowned'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'new things make life smart, smooth and faster' and 'these challenges being reason of tragedy'. Some phrasing is repetitive, and you rely on basic descriptors. To improve, focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—and try to use more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas. The current range is sufficient to communicate your meaning, but it lacks the precision required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('many people does not like'), missing articles ('on abroad tour'), and incorrect verb forms ('everyone following that'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To reach a higher band, you need to improve your control over basic grammar, particularly articles, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement, while also ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed accurately.
