Student answer (Band 5.0)
Few individuals like to visit new places and try new things in our life whereas others prefer to do only those type of things which is very familiar to them because they dont want try new things in their life. So we discuss about both preferences and give our own taste.
Firstly, the people who believe that they like to experience new things in thier life. So they want to visit new places and try something different . By experiences new things is a good choice because by this way, we interact with each other and we share not only our experience to other culture but also learn different types of things such as thier language, traditions and styles. Additionally, visiting at new places also gain in our knowledge . Enjoying their food is also a good experience because in this way we will taste of their tongues.
Secondly, where others prefer to enjoy only those type of things which is familiar to us . For example, the people who live in Punjab ,some denizens dont want go another state. So they only visit their familiar places like Harmandir Sahib, Wonderland, Funplazas and so on. So they dont want experience of another things. Sometimes, that is good, becuase now there are many gangsters and shooters who are shooting on middle class and low class individuals .
In Conclusion, go outside and experience new things is a good in my opinion. It helps us to learning new skills and thoughts of others. However, only visit at familiar places is also good choice because nowdays there are some people who are very intovert they dont want to share anything with others and they dont wmat to go outside.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both attitudes towards trying new things versus staying familiar, and provides a clear opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on visiting new places mentions sharing experiences and learning languages, but remains brief and lacks concrete extension. The counter-argument introduces a slightly disjointed point about gangsters and shooters, which is marginally relevant to safety concerns of going out, but not fully explored. Furthermore, the concluding paragraph introduces new ideas about introversion rather than synthesizing previous points. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of support places this response firmly in Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure with distinct paragraphs and basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In Conclusion'. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the logical flow is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and run-on sentences, as seen in 'Firstly, the people who believe that they like to experience new things in thier life. So they want to visit new places...'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is often faulty and repetitive. Referencing is also unclear at times, such as pronoun shifts between 'we', 'they', and 'us' within the same arguments. These issues align with the Band 5 descriptors for logical progression and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on simple phrases like 'try new things', 'visit new places', and 'good experience'. There are several noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'gain in our knowledge', 'taste of their tongues', and 'introvert they dont want to share anything'. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'denizens' and 'introvert', inaccurate usage and limited lexical range restrict the score. The vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey basic meaning, but frequent lexical inaccuracies cause some difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5 criteria well.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response shows a very limited range of structures, with frequent reliance on simple sentences and basic conjunctions. Attempts at complex sentences are almost uniformly faulty, characterized by missing verbs, incorrect subordination, and severe punctuation errors, such as 'whereas others prefer to do only those type of things which is very familiar to them because they dont want try new things in their life.' Frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('things which is', 'denizens dont want go') and missing articles, persist throughout the text and frequently strain the reader. This demonstrates a control level characteristic of Band 4.0.
