Student answer (Band 5.0)
People have differnt views whether indivisible tend to distnict activities in our life rather than doing same things. Although some masses love to do same things in our life on regular basis, i believe that people do different kind of activities.
On the one hand, there are certain reasons why people prefer to do familiar things instead of unfamiliar activities. First and the foremost, few people are more lathergic. To ellaborate, they do not prefer to untouch activities because they do not want to any kind of risks in our life in turn of which they can live quaily of life without any risk and enjoy our life. In addition to it, in these time, most of the people are more busy in their work to compete their fundamental needs and get promotions from their work that is why they have less time to do new experience in our life.
On the other hand, i believe that people should try to new things in our life so they can enjoy their life. Firstly, if people do differnt kind of activities, they can not only get an opportuniites to new experience in our life but also they become brave person that helps them to do explore differnt things in our life as a result, they can learn moral skills such as problem solving, team work and many more. furthermore, they can away fear from them when they try to do new activities due to which they can enjoy their life and always ready to do new experience in our life.
To conclude, while hectic schedule and lathergic are main roots to do same activities in our life, i also opine that people can become strong and change moods by doing new activvities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the reasons why people prefer familiar activities and why others like to try new things, while also providing a clear personal opinion. The writer establishes a position in the introduction and maintains it throughout the essay. However, the ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack deeper extension. For instance, the discussion on why people stick to familiar routines touches on being busy and lacking time, but the elaboration relies on repetitive phrasing rather than well-supported arguments. Examples from personal knowledge or experience are broad and generalized rather than specific. While all core prompt requirements are met, the under-development of ideas places this response firmly at Band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into four distinct paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. There is a basic attempt to sequence ideas logically using standard cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude'. However, paragraph progression is often hindered by mechanical and repetitive phrasing. Referencing is frequently unclear, particularly with pronoun usage like 'enjoy our life' and 'fear from them', which causes confusion about the intended referents. Additionally, internal cohesion within sentences is occasionally faulty. These shortcomings align closely with the Band 5 descriptor where organisation is present, but overall progression lacks clarity and cohesion is frequently inaccurate or repetitive.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range used in the response is limited and heavily repetitive. Words such as 'life', 'activities', and 'things' are overused throughout the text. There are numerous word choice and spelling errors that impede comprehension at times, such as 'differnt' instead of different, 'indivisible' instead of individuals, 'distnict' instead of distinct, 'lathergic' instead of lethargic, and 'ellaborate' instead of elaborate. The attempt to use less common items, such as 'fundamental needs' or 'problem solving', shows a limited ability to handle vocabulary, but persistent lexical inaccuracies and strain on the reader prevent the response from reaching Band 6. The lexical profile reflects Band 5 characteristics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions like 'although' and 'because', these structures are frequently faulty and grammatically inaccurate. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, verb forms, and prepositional usage, such as 'People have differnt views whether indivisible tend to distnict activities', 'they do not want to any kind of risks', and 'they can away fear from them'. Punctuation is also weak, with missing capitalization at the beginning of sentences and improper comma splices. Because frequent grammatical errors cause significant difficulty for the reader and accurate sentences are in the minority, the grammar score is Band 4.
