IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Some people like to try new things, for example, places to visit and types of food. Other people prefer to keep doing things they are familiar with.
Discuss both these attitudes and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contempory era, although most people are willing to explore different genre of meals and places, doing familiar things are still prefered by rest of them. I beleive that both attitudes has their own benefits but trying new things everytime affects postively on people's lives.
On the one hand, the prominent reason of exploring different things helps individuals to break their boring lifestyles. For example, if an employee just visit only same town centre and having a same kind of food each and every day then they could not grow as compared to thriller people who enjoy explore new things because they are knowledgeable and change the mood accoding to the situation. Therefore, this tend to make them relslient.
However, people with attitudes of doing same things may have experienced a lot about different places and meals in their life that's why now they just want to follow the same kind of daily routine. For instance, gray haired individuals might tried various things during their young life as currently, they have knowledge about what is beneficial or not for them. Moreover, possibly, some people have been getting same kind of food and going on same places, now they feel exhusted to try new things. Thus, because of these aspects they just want to continue their daily routine.
In my opinion, thrillers get rid of their boring life schedules while trying new things whereas keep doing same things are people's own choices that they may have made after doing some expriences. I believe that it is totally depended on person to person how they want to choose either same food and same visiting places or trying new things each time but if they expolre new things then they always feel refesh.
