Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, numerous individuals love to explore different cultures, foods and traditions whereas, some people prefer to stay with in their daily activities they are familiar with rather then going for new adventures. This essay will discuss both attitudes before presenting my own view point in upcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, people love to do new things for several reasons such as for personal growth. Many individuals visiting new places everyday where they get a chance to try new foods, visiting historical buildings and explore different corners of the world. As a result, it gives them a sense of satisfaction and built their confidence. For example, trying different foods helps people to understand other cultures in a better way. Thus, people visiting new places as it assist them to discover new interests.
On the other hand, some people prefer to stay in their comfort zone by doing same things everyday. This is because, people already knows their daily tasks which results into less stress and tension. Apart from this, they do not want to waste their money and timen on the things that are not familier to them. For instances, people saves their money by going to same resturants rather then going to mysterious one's.
However, from my perspective, people needs to think out of the box as it will gives them an opportunity to experience more exciting things in their lives. This not only boost their confidence, but it also gives them a chance to discover some new activities that will help them to learn new skills.
To conclude, there is no doubt that more and more people love to stay in their comfort zone. But going out and doing new activities will give them a chance to know about this world in depth and become open-minded and creative in their lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both attitudes towards trying new things versus keeping familiar routines, and provides a clear personal opinion. The position is maintained throughout the essay. Ideas are extended and supported, such as explaining how trying new foods helps individuals understand other cultures and build confidence. However, there is a tendency to over-generalise and some supporting points are slightly repetitive, such as the repeated mentions of boosting confidence. Overall, the task is well addressed, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.5 or solid Band 7, but is limited by somewhat repetitive development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, featuring distinct introduction, body paragraphs for both views, a personal opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to signal logical progression, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, there are repetitive transitional phrases and minor mechanical errors in cohesion. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother to reach a higher band.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms related to the topic such as 'culture', 'traditions', 'adventures', and 'comfort zone'. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, but these are accompanied by noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'stay with in' instead of 'stay within', 'timen' instead of 'time', 'familier' instead of 'familiar', 'Instances' instead of 'instance', and 'resturants' instead of 'restaurants'. These errors do not impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to a Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues and tense inconsistencies, such as 'people already knows' instead of 'people already know', 'people saves' instead of 'people save', 'people needs' instead of 'people need', and 'it will gives' instead of 'it will give'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they occur frequently enough to prevent the writing from achieving a Band 7.
