Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is seen that nowadays, individuals are fond of exploring new places and different cuisines. It is debatable issue whether people should try new activities that includes visiting different places and trying new food types or they shoule remain in their boundaries while doing their normal things with they are comfortable only. I personally believe that exploring new things add pleasure in life, but this essay will discuss both viewpoints before in upcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, trying new things in life has their own vital benefits. Primarily, when people try food of different country, it gives them choices of food from every day same meals. For example, people in India love to eat chinese food that esaily available in every city. Which helps person to buy their dinner on their way from office. In addition, visiting new country provides new experience. During travel, person can experience their culture, customs, cuisines, and lifestyle that broaden their perspectives and add new values in their mindset.
On the other hand, people's preferences towards only doing their familar has their own viewpoints. Firstly, familar things helps people to reduce their anxiety and stress because it imitigates the unnecessary pressure from mind and promotes the sense of safety. Besides this pre-organized routine adds productivity in life. For example, if family is going out for dinner to familiar restaurant. it saves their time to ordering food items as they have been that place before and has idea of food menu.
In conclusion. it is quite apparent from the above-mentioned information that always remaining in the boundries reduces the sense of adventure. So person should keep exploring new things in their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both the inclination towards trying new things and the preference for familiar routines, while also clearly stating the writer's own opinion in the introduction. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For instance, the paragraph on trying new foods is extended with a relevant example about eating Chinese food in India, whereas the discussion on staying within familiar boundaries is somewhat limited and lacks a fully realised explanation. To reach a higher band, all main ideas would need to be equally well-supported and extended with deeper analysis, avoiding any tendency to over-generalise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear, logical progression throughout. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, separating the introduction, the two body paragraphs discussing opposing views, and a brief conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed to connect ideas, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, cohesion is at times somewhat mechanical, and referencing is not always entirely clear, as seen in minor awkward transitions. To move to the next level, the writer needs to ensure that cohesive devices are used more flexibly and unobtrusively, creating smoother links between sentences and paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and attempts some less common lexical items, such as 'cuisines', 'perspectives', and 'adventure'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form that occasionally impede smooth reading, such as writing 'debatedble' or 'familar' instead of 'familiar', 'imitigates' instead of 'mitigates', and 'boundries' instead of 'boundaries'. Furthermore, collocations are sometimes awkward, such as 'add pleasure in life'. To achieve a higher score, the writer should expand their lexical repertoire and exercise greater precision in spelling and word choice to ensure natural and accurate communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as subordinate clauses with relative pronouns. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text that cause some difficulty for the reader. Issues include missing articles ('It is debatable issue', 'during travel, person can experience'), subject-verb agreement problems ('trying new things in life has their own vital benefits'), incorrect prepositions ('with they are comfortable only'), and sentence fragments ('Which helps person to buy their dinner'). To progress, the writer needs to exercise greater control over basic grammatical structures, punctuation, and article usage to reduce the frequency of errors.
