Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, some people are keen to try an adventures such as new places and food. Whereas, some individuals prefer to keep doing similar activities they are comfortable with. In my perspective, we need to try something which we did not do before. From which we can gain fun and enjoyment.
On the one hand, group of people saying that they are having fun to try different destinations or nourishments. Because, they are fearless and having risk taking quality. For example, Last year, we went to Key Largo, USA which was totally unknown city for us. But my family and I very adventurous. That is why, everytime we are trying something unexpectable. That time, we did scuba diving, AS we know that Key Largo is the diving capital of the world.
on the other hand, others choose to have same things they are familiar with. As they do not want to put their lives in danger. For instance, my uncle is very obsessed with his llife. He never taking chance with any height activities. In addition, he had a bad experience when he was 28. By the way, He did skydiving and his parashoot was not opened at an actual time.
To sum up, god give one life, we should live with courage, prosperity and humanity. We must to feel nature, try interesting eateries because we do not know how much we are going to live on the earth. To my mind, there is an one thing that do not put yourself to be regret.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both attitudes towards trying new things versus sticking to the familiar, and you clearly state your own opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat uneven. While you introduce relevant points, some sections remain under-developed or lack full elaboration. For instance, when you mention that people who like trying new things are fearless and have a risk-taking quality, this idea is not fully expanded before transitioning into your personal example about Key Largo. Similarly, your supporting example about skydiving is presented as a narrative rather than a well-reasoned argument supporting the preference for familiarity. To reach a higher standard, you should ensure that every main idea is thoroughly supported by relevant explanations and broader reasoning rather than relying solely on personal anecdotes.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
Your essay displays an overall coherent arrangement with a clear attempt to structure your thoughts into logical paragraphs, including an introduction, body paragraphs for each viewpoint, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and referencing is not always clear. You make repetitive use of transitional phrases like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', but the internal links between sentences can be abrupt. For example, starting sentences with connectors like 'Because,' or 'That time,' disrupts the flow of the text and makes the progression of ideas feel disjointed. Furthermore, paragraphing is somewhat irregular, with sentences starting on new lines inappropriately. To improve, you should focus on smoothing out transitions within paragraphs, ensuring that pronouns and referencing words clearly point to their antecedents, and maintaining standard paragraph formatting throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting some less common items such as 'adventurous', 'destinations', 'nourishments', and 'obsessed'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word formation that restrict your vocabulary score. For example, writing 'try an adventures' contains a plural article error and word form issue, while 'nourishments' is an unnatural choice for food in this context. You also use 'height activities' instead of high-risk or extreme activities, and 'parashoot' contains a spelling error. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to distract the reader. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your control of less common lexical items, ensure correct collocations, and pay closer attention to accurate word forms and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your writing shows a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to use different structures such as conditional and dependent clauses. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. You struggle with basic verb forms, tenses, and subject-verb agreement, as seen in 'He never taking chance' and 'his parashoot was not opened at an actual time'. Additionally, sentence boundaries are sometimes handled poorly, with fragments like 'Because, they are fearless' and 'As they do not want' standing alone or incorrectly punctuated. Articles and prepositions are also misused in phrases like 'in my perspective' instead of 'from my perspective'. To elevate your grammar score, you need to increase your control over complex sentence structures, improve your accuracy with verb tenses and auxiliary verbs, and refine your punctuation.
