Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is widely noted that some individuals choose to explore tourist attractions and trying a variety of foods. Whereas, others prefer minimal changes and choose to repeat things that they already know. This essay will discuss both the viewpoints and provide personal opinion in conclusion.
On the one hand, few individuals prefer to experience variety of food and visiting new places. People prefer to take risks and are egar to enhace their knowledge regarding the local food and people. When they visit new attractions, they learn about particular culture and food. This can assist an individual to improve their knowledge and gain valuable experience. For instance, when someone visits tourist attractions, they unintetionally assist in improving local employment and thus, preserve the history of the places they are visitng. Another reason to be considered is some people has extrovert personality which drives them to meet new people and provides them a chance to socialize. This can enhance communication and respect for others which can ultimately build confidence in an individual.
On the other hand, opponents prefer somethings they do and does not choose any changes in their routine. To explain this, some people prefer to expell in one particular area rather than trying on variety of things. By following the same routine they might feel a sense of discipline in what they do which improves their confidence in themselves. Another significant reason can be people prefer minimal outings and chooses to spend their quality time with family instead of socializing. Moreover, few individuals with introvert personality has a sense of fear in trying new activities. For example, elderlies are afraid of utilizing digital technologies such as money transfer through mobile devices and they rather prefer tranditional method of visiting a bank.
In conclusion, in my opinion, people should gain valuable experience by visiting new places, meeting people from different culture and trying variety of food which benefits individuals with a chances of socializing and these improve the confidence in ones. Although the former view has certain benefits, people prefer the later view should be equally respected.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both attitudes towards new experiences versus familiarity, and provides a clear personal opinion. The main ideas are generally relevant, but some parts are under-developed or lack sufficient extension. For example, while the point about supporting local employment when visiting attractions is raised, it is not fully elaborated with specific reasoning or context. The position is maintained throughout the essay, leading to a conclusion that summarizes the writer's stance. However, to reach a higher level, all main points require more thorough support and deeper exploration rather than brief assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear, recognizable structure featuring an introduction, body paragraphs for each perspective, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. Cohesive devices are employed to signal transitions, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, and referencing can occasionally be unclear, such as the pronoun use in the final sentence ('ones'). The progression of ideas is generally logical, but smoother links between sentences would elevate the flow to a fully proficient standard.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'extrovert personality', 'employment', and 'digital technologies'. However, there are notable spelling and word-form errors that detract from the precision of the writing, including 'egar' instead of eager, 'enhace' instead of enhance, 'unintetionally', 'expell', and 'tranditional'. Word choice is sometimes strained, as seen in phrases like 'prefer somethings they do' or 'prefer the later view'. While these inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they reflect a limited control over less common lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at subordination and relative clauses. There are, however, some recurring errors in grammar and agreement, such as 'some people has extrovert personality' (plural/singular mismatch), 'people prefer minimal outings and chooses' (subject-verb agreement), and 'introvert personality has' instead of having. Article usage and prepositions also show occasional lapses, such as 'with a chances of socializing' and 'in ones'. Despite these errors, the structures used do not severely impede communication, and the meaning generally remains clear to the reader.
