Student answer (Band 5.5)
In Recent years, Some people want to try new activities for instance, visiting new places at home or abroad and try different types of food. Other individuals prefer to do familiar things as they are. In my opinion people who try different culture food and adapt to different locations have better open-minded attitude than those who don't try new things.
On one hand, some people prefer to try new things in their life. Firstly, People who try different types of foods have a wide range of knowleadge about the food they want to eat next time. It will give them to be open minded when it come to deal with unfamiliar things. For example, someone who regularly tries unfamiliar food may become more willing to visit new countries and adapt to different customs. As result, It can help to increased the person's adaptability.
Secondaly, If a person learns different cultures it will help them to communicate with people from different backgrounds and assign the task as well. For instance, If a person travel to London and talked with English-speaking person and learn the culture.it help the person to demonstrate the new culture as well as they can assign the task to other culture people without any hestitating. As result, It can help them to develop the communication skills and overcome their fear of speaking in public
On other hand, Some people prefer familiar routines because they feel comfortable and secure. They may also want to avoid wasting money or having unpleasant experiences. For example, Someone with dietary restrictions may prefer familiar food while travelling because they know it is safe for them. As result, They are afried to do new things in their life and stay around the circle.
Inconclusion, In my opinion people who try different culture and food have more diversity than one who stay on their own circle.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both attitudes towards trying new things versus sticking to familiar routines and clearly stating a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For instance, the first body paragraph adequately links trying unfamiliar food to open-mindedness, but the subsequent points regarding communication skills and cultural adaptation are somewhat repetitive and under-developed. To reach a higher level, all main arguments need to be extended with deeper explanations and more precise real-world examples rather than generalizations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used to separate different facets of the topic. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and referencing can be unclear. For example, the over-use of transitional phrases like 'As result' at the end of multiple paragraphs creates a repetitive and formulaic flow. Furthermore, referencing pronouns such as 'It' occasionally lacks clear antecedents, which disrupts the logical progression. To improve, a greater variety of cohesive devices should be employed more naturally without relying on rigid formulas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating central ideas about routine and exploration. Less common lexical items are attempted, such as 'open-minded attitude' and 'dietary restrictions', but these are accompanied by noticeable inaccuracies in word choice and spelling, such as 'knowleadge', 'Secondaly', and 'afried'. Word forms also occasionally miss the mark, as seen in 'increased the person's adaptability' instead of 'increase'. While these errors do not seriously impede communication, they reflect a limited precision in vocabulary control that restricts the score to this band level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating that the writer can construct compound and conditional structures, such as 'If a person learns different cultures it will help them...'. However, there are some errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text, including article omissions, awkward preposition usage, and fragment sentences like 'it help the person to demonstrate the new culture as well as they can assign the task to other culture people without any hestitating.' While these errors are noticeable and require occasional rereading, they rarely impede overall communication. A wider control over complex grammatical patterns and better punctuation management are needed for further progress.
