Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern era, Some folks love to explore new places to enjoy their life but on the other hand some people like to stay in the boundries they are comfortable with. I will discuss both the view points and give my opinion at the end of this essay.

Firstly, many individuals usually discover new things such as places and try distinct foods because they major reason is they are extrovert, as they love to explore new places make new friends and there is exchange of cultures between them. To illustrate it more, these people love to know about different cultures and their values. In this way, they enhance their knowledge and increase their friend circle. Secondly, some masses want a nap from their professional life. As we all know these days life of every individual is so busy and people are not able to balance their personal and professional life. So, in meantime people usually plan vactions to spend some time with their near and dear ones. It will strengthen their relation bond.

On the flip side, some people prefer to follow basic everyday routine because they think it is totally a wastage of time. To explain it more, individuals think to spend thier precious time in valuable things which makes their life better in the future. For instance, Some people love to work overtime rather them sitting home or exploring new places because they think if they earn more money then they are able to provide a blissful life to their family members.

In my opinion, I think it is better to explore new places because every one only have one life, money will come and go but life don't.

In conclusion, although it is important to try new things in life, but the benefits of keep doing familiar things cannot be neglected.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both attitudes and state a clear preference for exploring new places, so the response covers the main parts of the prompt. The discussion of adventurous people includes relevant reasons—cultural exchange, learning, and making friends—and the familiar-routine view is supported by the example of working overtime to provide for family. However, some points are not fully developed or are only loosely connected to the question. For example, the paragraph about taking a break from professional life and spending time with loved ones shifts towards holidays rather than explaining the general appeal of trying unfamiliar things. Your final opinion is clear, but “money will come and go” would be stronger if you explained how new experiences benefit people beyond enjoyment.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a discussion of one attitude, a contrasting view, your opinion, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader follow the main stages, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the flip side,” and “In conclusion” make the direction clear. However, some linking is mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear. In the first body paragraph, the move from cultural exchange to taking a break from work feels abrupt, while “Secondly” does not introduce a clearly separate reason. The conclusion also repeats the contrast without fully resolving it. Group related reasons together and use clearer references and transitions to show how each example supports the paragraph’s main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of vocabulary for the topic, including “exchange of cultures,” “professional life,” “precious time,” and “blissful life.” These choices help communicate ideas about travel, routine, and family. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “stay in the boundries,” “their relation bond,” and “a nap from their professional life” do not express the intended meanings naturally. There are also spelling errors such as “vactions,” “thier,” and “everyday routine” where “everyday” may not convey the intended sense as clearly as “daily routine.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than using elaborate phrases; this will make your ideas easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as,” and “although,” and most of the message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors occur, particularly with agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “they major reason is they are extrovert” has an unclear structure and incorrect agreement, while “every one only have one life” should use a singular verb. In “money will come and go but life don't,” the verb form does not agree with the subject. The opening sentence also begins “Some” with an unnecessary capital after a comma. Review subject–verb agreement and build complex sentences around one clear main clause; careful punctuation will also improve readability.
