Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both attitudes and give a clear personal preference for trying new things, supported by relevant examples such as returning to a familiar beach and learning about another culture through travel and food. This covers the task well. The explanation of familiarity focuses mainly on comfort and security, while the benefits of novelty receive more development through learning, adaptation and communication; this unevenness keeps some ideas less fully explored. The personal example that new experiences may not meet your expectations is promising, but its significance could be explained more clearly. To strengthen the response further, develop each side to a similar depth and make the reasons behind your opinion more precise, rather than relying on broad claims about gaining knowledge and skills.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, your opinion, and a conclusion. The progression is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers recognise the stages of the argument. Examples are generally placed alongside the point they support. Some links are less smooth or precise, however: “These both situation” does not clearly refer to the two attitudes, and the conclusion repeats the benefits of novelty rather than drawing the discussion together. Aim to use referencing that clearly identifies the idea being discussed, and connect examples to claims with more varied, natural transitions. This would make the organisation feel less dependent on formulaic signposting.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “comfort and security,” “uncertain future problems,” “unique challenges,” and “communication skills.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “abundance in life,” although this is not a natural fit for the intended meaning. Several word-choice and collocation errors make the writing less fluent, including “stick on the same things,” “explore new place,” and “new food dishes experience different taste.” Spelling errors such as “accomodation” and “experiement” also reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable range of natural collocations for travel, food and personal development, and check spelling and word forms. More precise phrasing would help you express familiar ideas without repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the example beginning “For instance” and the contrast between familiar and new experiences. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “Many people like to exploring,” “Choosing the same things and places help them,” and “New places gives.” The sentence beginning “Whenever I visited new place” also shifts awkwardly between past and present forms. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to process, although the overall meaning remains understandable. Practise forming accurate clauses with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense consistency when editing. Greater accuracy in these patterns would support your attempts at more complex sentences.
