Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this growing world, people are enjoying their life more as compare to past. Many people like to try new things such as visiting different different places, as well as taste different foods. However, some people are keep doing same things everyday with they are familiar. In the following paragraph I will discuss both sides along with my opinion

Firstly, in this era people love to try new things for their best experience. To elaborate it, people spend their money on visiting new things as well as enjoying different kind of foods instead of saving the money. Well, this generation believe that living in today instead of saving the money for future which that think is not save as thay think we donot lknow which day will become our last day so they love to enjoy new things instead of stucking at one place. Moreover, todays genzs are more prone to social media, so they are doing things like tour new places which are very famous like CN tower,, Burj khalifa, white rock or many other places whether these places are in their cities or country or in other nation they will try too hard to go overthere aand give a tour on social media like on instagram, tik tok, facebook etc. to get a view from others. This even can help them to earn money also.

On the otherhand, some people prefer to stay at one places, means they are doing the same things on regular basis with which they are familiar. Like if someone, have a shop of clothes, restaurant or any other business they are doing the same things everyday. For example, a shopkeeper in the clothes house are showing clothes to theircustomers everyday to earn money or so they can be stay in the market. So, they think trying new things like visiting new places may waste their time or money with which they can spend in their business to grow that buusiness. In addition, some epople do same things on regular basis because they are doing 9 to 5 job which they donot left with time to enjoy different things.

In my opinion, balance the life is best way to enjoy new things such as fulfilling their dreams to visit new places or try new foods alomng with their regular things.

To conclude, people love to spend their time by visint new places as well as try new flavours as they love to eat. However, some people doing same kind of things. But I think they can enjoy their life in both sides if they learn how to balance the life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both attitudes and give a clear personal view: the first body paragraph explains why people seek new experiences, the second gives reasons for preferring familiar routines, and the conclusion supports balancing both. Examples such as visiting famous landmarks and a shopkeeper focusing on their business are relevant to the task. However, some points are more fully explained than others. The discussion of social media and earning money is developed at length, while the benefits of familiarity and your own preferred balance receive less explanation. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely why trying new things is valuable and how people can balance novelty with routine, using a specific example to support your opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main stages. However, some connections feel mechanical, and several sentences contain multiple ideas that are difficult to track, particularly the long explanation about enjoying life now and the paragraph on social media. The conclusion also repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and divide long explanations into shorter units; make references such as “this” or “they” clearly identify the idea or people meant. This would make the progression smoother and cohesion less repetitive.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “familiar,” “different kind of foods,” “business,” and “balance.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “prone to social media” and “regular basis.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “things,” “people,” and “new,” and several choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “stucking at one place” and “give a tour on social media.” Spelling errors such as “buusiness,” “epople,” and “visint” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for travel, routine, and personal development, and check spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, using clauses with “because,” “which,” and “whether,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, some sentence structures are faulty, especially when several clauses are joined together, as in the sentence beginning “Well, this generation believe…” Verb forms and agreement also need attention: “some people are keep doing” and “some people doing” should use a consistent verb pattern, while “this generation believe” requires agreement. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “one places” and the comma-heavy sentence about landmarks. Aim for shorter, controlled sentences first, then add complex clauses carefully. Proofread for subject–verb agreement, complete verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
