Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's advanced world, many people likes to explore new things for their both personal and professional growth. While, some individuals deeply habituated to the routines that they are comfortable with. In my perspective, trying new things can improve individual's productivity. Because of this reason, I agree with this view.
To begin with, exploring different places around the world can give opportunity to experience diverse cultures, traditions and customs. Moreover, people can also about learn different languages and lifestyle of local people. Reading news articles and novels can boost confidence, improve imagination, and increase concentration. For instance, people who regularly read novels and news articles are exposed to different perspectives, which can broaden their knowledge and improve their problem-solving capabilities.
On the other hand, some people prefer familiar activities because they may feel confident and comfortable, secure. Trying something new involves risk and disappointment. For example, people may choose to eat their favourite cuisine instead of trying a new cuisine because they are familiar with taste, spices and ingredients used in recipes. Furthermore, following a daily routines can save lots time, money, and reduce unnecessary stress. Doing familiar activities can help people avoid tension and anxiety, especially those who are busy with their work schedule.
In my view, visiting different countries can improve communication skills, which is beneficial for both personal and professional development. In addition, trying new things make people more independent and confident.
To sum up, while some people prefer familiar experiences for comfort and safety, others enjoy trying different cuisines, visiting new a places because they want to feel freedom. I believe that people should come out of their comfort zone and try something new, which improves their overall growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both attitudes and state a clear preference for trying new experiences, especially in the opening and conclusion. Relevant support includes the example of choosing familiar food for comfort and the benefits of travel and reading. This meets the task well, and your view is generally clear. However, some points are not fully developed or closely connected to the comparison: reading novels and news articles is introduced as an example of exploring new things, but its link to trying new places or foods is not explained. The claim that new experiences improve productivity is also not supported directly. To strengthen the response further, explain each main reason with a specific consequence or personal example, and keep examples tightly focused on the attitudes in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help readers follow the discussion. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes uneven. The paragraph about trying new things moves from travel to learning languages and then to reading, so the relationship between these examples is not always clear. The separate opinion paragraph also repeats benefits already mentioned rather than extending the argument. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, particularly “Because of this reason.” Group related ideas more tightly and use pronouns or transitions to show how each example supports the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “diverse cultures,” “traditions and customs,” “problem-solving capabilities,” and “comfort zone.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the meaning is generally clear. There are also some inaccurate or unnatural combinations, such as “deeply habituated to the routines,” “give opportunity,” and “feel freedom.” The phrase “people can also about learn” is especially awkward and makes the sentence less fluent. Aim for natural collocations and check word forms when revising; for example, describe people as “accustomed to routines” and say that travel “offers an opportunity” to experience other cultures. More precise vocabulary would make the argument sound more fluent and controlled.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “because,” “which,” and “while.” This gives the response some structural variety, and most ideas remain understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, however. Subject–verb agreement is incorrect in “many people likes” and “trying new things make people”; articles and plurals are also problematic in “an individual's productivity” and “a daily routines.” The fragment “Because of this reason, I agree with this view” is separated from the sentence it depends on, while “people can also about learn” has an incorrect word order. Review agreement, article use, and sentence boundaries, then proofread complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete and correctly formed.
