Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary world, some individuals love to try something new such as exploring new places and varieties of food, while others choose to do same things which they know better. Similarly, going to new location broaden the knowledge and life experiences. In my opinion, people should attempt to explore new locations and food. In the following paragraphs, I will be discussing the trend in detail with pertinent examples and plausible conclusion.
To commence with, the main advantage of travelling new places and trying new cuisines is that it meets the opportunity to expand the knowledge about culture and tradition. This is primarily because it can help to reduce stress and anxiety, which can make them feel fascinated and excited. Additionally, trying of different cuisines help people to explore the information about wider varieties of dishes. For instance, it is globally accepted that every countries and provinces have their own popular varieties of the cuisines and people excited to come long distances and try it.
Furthermore, other people like to do same things which they know better such as local dishes and local travel nearby their cities. This is largely because they prefer to stay in comfort zone and local dishes make them feel relaxed and unwind. Moreover, visiting known sites can easier to access and reachable rather than travelling long distances, consequently they may feel exhausted and tired. To exemplify, it is accepted worldwide local community like travel to their local markets and food as it can save their money and time to long travelling.
To conclude, it is reiterated from above discussion many individuals trying something different in terms of location and food as it helps them to reduce stress and examine new experiences. I firmly believe that it is individual's choice whether to travel new places or keep doing same things as per their convenient.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both attitudes and state a preference for exploring new places and food, so the response is relevant to the task. The first body paragraph explains cultural learning and excitement, while the second gives reasons for preferring familiar options, including comfort, convenience, and saving time and money. However, your own position becomes less definite in the conclusion, where you say it is each individual’s choice, rather than clearly reaffirming your preference. Some support is also general: the example about people travelling long distances to try regional cuisine is not developed with a specific illustration. Make your opinion consistent from introduction to conclusion and explain one or two examples in more detail to develop the ideas more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow, and signposts such as “Furthermore” and “To conclude” help identify the stages of the argument. The ideas within each body paragraph are generally grouped appropriately. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Additionally,” “Moreover,” and “For instance,” and a few connections are not fully clear. For example, the claim that trying cuisines reduces stress is not explicitly linked to the cultural-learning point. The conclusion also shifts from your stated preference to a neutral position. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each reason and the main point more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “culture and tradition,” “comfort zone,” “cuisines,” and “exhausted,” and your meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “pertinent examples” and “reiterated.” However, some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “meets the opportunity” does not express the intended idea, and “examine new experiences” is not a natural collocation. Phrases such as “local travel nearby their cities” and “popular varieties of the cuisines” are also awkward. Aim for natural combinations of words and use formal vocabulary only when it fits the meaning. More precise phrasing would make your ideas sound clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “while,” “because,” and “which,” and the overall meaning can usually be understood. Some sentences are controlled, such as “Moreover, visiting known sites can easier to access and reachable rather than travelling long distances,” though this example also shows a structural problem: after “can,” the verb form is missing. Other errors include “going to new location broaden” and “every countries and provinces,” where agreement and number are not controlled. Articles and sentence patterns also need attention, as in “choose to do same things” and “people excited to come.” These errors recur, but they do not generally prevent understanding. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and verb forms, especially in longer sentences.
