Student answer (Band 5.5)

Opinions sometimes differ as to whether people are love to explore the new places and other countries cousins or others are still prefering to engage with the only familiar things. Although, both views have their own merits. I would side with keeping intouch with familiar things is more considerable aspect.

On the one hand, those who argue that, visiting to unknown places are more knowledgable belief. Because they might thinks that if they not only visit historical monuments but also gain new information about old cultures and traditions related to it. For instance, In India, lagre number of people love to visting "Taj Mahal" as they get to know about the real defination of pure love. Another arguement, nowadays, people are cnsidering to explore more about other countries local foods. This is becuse, they might thinks that tasting other's cousins can give them better about the variety of tastes in the world. In additin to it, people may getting bore from their own tastes so they can try to change it bit in order to look around the world.

However, despite the aforementioned argurments. I believe that its good to keep following similar trend instead of visting somewhere. Firstly, poeple might feel severe health issues. Because everybody can have unique taste preferences as per their culture or taste. For instance, In Punjab, people are more adaptable towards spieceness than others. In results, it can be causing food poisioning at high risk. Secodly, social media can increases competition to visit to different places as average people are now starting to following the travilling trends that can rises their high expenses issues.

In conclusion, although those who are in favour of visting and tasting food around the world is considerable approach. From my standpoint, keep doing familiar things seems realiatic trend to be better as increasing health risks and for expensive trips.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both attitudes and state a clear preference for familiar activities, so the response answers the main parts of the prompt. The discussion of trying new things includes relevant reasons: learning about history and traditions, and experiencing different foods. Your own position is also supported with concerns about health and travel costs. However, some points are less fully explained: the link between unfamiliar food and food poisoning is asserted rather than demonstrated, and the claim that social media increases travel expenses needs a clearer explanation. Develop these ideas with a specific example or a more careful explanation, and make the comparison between the two attitudes more balanced.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each attitude, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “However,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the shift from one view to your own. Within paragraphs, however, some connections feel mechanical or unclear. For example, “Because they might thinks” is left as a sentence fragment, while “despite the aforementioned argurments” does not connect smoothly to the following claim. The conclusion repeats your position but does not bring the main reasons together clearly. Use complete sentences, link each example directly to its point, and vary transitions so the progression feels more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “historical monuments,” “traditions,” “taste preferences,” and “competition,” and these choices help convey the main ideas. However, the range is limited by repeated or inaccurate expressions, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “other countries cousins,” “real defination,” and “spieceness.” Some collocations are also unnatural, including “better about the variety of tastes” and “increasing health risks.” Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships and checking spelling and word forms. Prefer clear, familiar phrasing when you are unsure of a more ambitious expression.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You try to use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “although,” “because,” and “as.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur across the response. Examples include “people are love,” “they might thinks,” and “social media can increases”; these should use consistent, correctly formed verbs. The opening “Although, both views have their own merits” is also an incomplete sentence, and some punctuation creates fragments, as in “Because everybody can have unique taste preferences.” Practise building complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, especially after modal verbs such as “might” and “can.”
