Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this society, people have different personalities and choices. Many individuals like explore unfamiliar things in their life. such as different types of food, places and activities and many more. Other individuals prefer to doing familiar thing without getting bored.
On the one hand, people prefer to do same thing without getting bored because they feel security, comfort and consistency. These type of people feel relaxed when they visit familiar place or eat familiar food. For example, a family might choose to spend every summer holiday at the same beach because they are familiar with the surroundings. Similarly, People prefer same traditional food home cook food every time rather than exploring unfamiliar dishes.
On the other hand, trying new thing is very beneficial. Firstly, when people visits unfamiliar places they may learn new culture, traditions and meet different people. Because of this people may develop communication skills. For example, someone who visits India from another country that person may know the tradition and culture of India. secondly, experimenting with different types of food can introduce people to different and new flavours and ingredient. In addition, If person willing to do unfamiliar actives then person may become more confident and adaptable. These experiences can also create memorable moments and New experiences can also make life more interesting.
In my opinion people should try new thing in their life because this approach allow you to develop new skills rather than staying within one's comfort zone because it can limit the opportunity for personal growth of people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both attitudes and give a clear opinion in favour of trying new things. The familiar-routine view is supported with relevant examples, such as returning to the same beach and choosing traditional food; the benefits of novelty are also explained through learning about cultures, developing communication skills, and gaining confidence. This covers the task well. However, some points are asserted rather than fully developed: for instance, the link between visiting another country and improving communication skills could be explained more clearly, and the final opinion would be stronger with a specific example or qualification. The response therefore has a solid, relevant argument, but its support is not consistently extended enough for a more complete treatment.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a concluding opinion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In my opinion” help readers follow the argument, and examples generally appear beside the points they support. Some connections are less smooth, however. The second body paragraph moves from cultural learning to food and then confidence without clearly showing how each point relates to the main claim. The sentence beginning “Because of this” is also detached from the preceding idea, while the final paragraph repeats the preference for new experiences rather than drawing the discussion together. More precise referencing and less mechanical linking would improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “familiar,” “unfamiliar,” “traditions,” “adaptable,” and “personal growth.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “comfort zone” and “memorable moments.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive: “familiar thing,” “trying new thing,” and “different and new flavours” could be expressed more naturally and precisely. Some phrases, including “home cook food” and “unfamiliar actives,” are difficult to interpret, and inconsistent spelling and capitalization reduce control. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for travel, food, and personal development, and check word forms and spelling carefully. This would make the argument clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause (“because they feel security, comfort and consistency”) and a conditional example (“a family might choose…”). These structures help convey explanations and examples, but control is uneven, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “Many individuals like explore,” “people visits unfamiliar places,” and “this approach allow you,” where verb forms or agreement are incorrect. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “visit familiar place” lacks an article, and “such as different types…” is an incomplete sentence after the opening. The long sentence beginning “In addition” contains several ideas that would be clearer if separated. Practise accurate verb patterns, agreement, articles, and punctuation while retaining varied sentence structures.
