Student answer (Band 5.0)

A few individuals prefer trying new things such as travelling and trying various food cuisines, while others like to keep doing things they already know.I think that trying different dishes and visiting new places each time is a good attitude learn about various things such as culture and nature.

When people tries places they never visited, they learn about that spot's culture. For an example,if a person who has never visited london in his life before travel to this place, then he can learn about citizens of londen like how they live, what kind of food they eat in their daily lives, festivels celebrated by them and how they live. Individuals who prefer to try different cuisine each time they go out to a restaurant, learns about numeirous dishes. To illustrate,

one likes to try various cusines such as thai food, chinise, english breakfast, greek, and so on.

he can learn about what this dishes include, different taste, and how to cook this dishes.

A few individuals do not like to leave their comfort zone and keep going to same places to eat and travelling to same places each time. Because of this they limit themselves to just one culture and miss the opportunity to explore various cultures. For an example, since childhood a person keep going to just niagra falls and did not explore any other places misses opportunity to see different cultures and exploring nature. Some people follow strict diet and only eat specific kind of meals and by following practice going to same place they trust, they feel safe about not breaking the rules of their diet. For an example, in some religion, people do not eat meat or eggs therefore, going to same restaurant they trust for eating out works best for them to follow their specific needs.

In my opinion, people should try something new in terms of visiting and eating out becayse it

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss both attitudes and give a preference for trying new places and foods, so the response is relevant to the task. The examples about learning local customs in London and choosing a trusted restaurant to meet dietary or religious needs help explain each viewpoint. However, the opinion is not fully established: the final sentence begins “In my opinion” but ends unfinished at “because it,” leaving your reasoning incomplete. Some points also remain general or are not clearly connected to the main comparison, such as the Niagara Falls example. To strengthen the response, complete and explain your position, and develop each main reason with a clear link to why it matters. This would make the discussion more fully addressed and the ideas less limited or under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about trying new experiences, a paragraph about familiar routines, and a concluding attempt. This gives the reader a basic sense of the two sides. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links are repetitive or awkward. For example, “For an example” is used more than once, while the transition from the Niagara Falls example to dietary needs introduces a new reason without a clear connection. The unfinished final sentence also prevents the essay from reaching a clear conclusion. Use topic sentences to signal each paragraph’s main point, group related examples together, and vary linking expressions. Clearer referencing would also help readers follow who “he” refers to in the examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “comfort zone,” “culture,” “diet,” and “explore.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “festivals celebrated” and “specific needs.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “londen,” “festivels,” “numeirous,” and “cusines.” Some phrases are also unnatural or repetitive, such as “various food cuisines” and “trying different cuisine each time.” These issues sometimes make the reader pause, although the intended meaning is generally recoverable. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations—for example, “try different cuisines” and “learn about local customs”—and avoid repeating “various” when a more precise word is available.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional examples such as “if a person who has never visited London…” and explanations beginning with “Because of this.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “When people tries,” “a person keep going,” and “Individuals … learns.” The opening also joins sentences without a space after “know,” and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise matching subjects and verbs, and check that each sentence has a complete main clause. Shorter, accurately punctuated sentences would make your ideas easier to follow while you continue developing complex structures.
