Student answer (Band 5.5)

Man is a social animal. While all of us are different from each other in different aspects of life. Some people always like to explore new places and things and they feel joyable after doing this kind of activities

Having a good taste sense is a great art so those who try to develop their taste buds by eating different types of food they enjoy it.

Similarly there are alot of people who always ready to explore the different sides of nature by traveling to new areas where they haven't went before.they always love to explroe or visit new places which help them to gather the more information and feel happy.

There are also alot of people who don't like to explore new place and also not trying to taste a new type of food reason behind this is that they are used to with old taste and they have no interest to taste a different vaiety of food.

My opinion is to travel and visit different places with loved ones and enjoying different cultural food is great entertainment and i always like to do such experience these experience allow me to enjoy the unseen beauty of nature , Sometime i also love to eat different variety of food because i think staying permanent on same thing is against the law of nature so i always trying to do different and new things in life .

Meanwhile it is a very interesting and good activity to visit and explore the new things and visiting different food stalls, which have different taste and variety from a regular routine.whenever i did this It makes me so lively and happy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both attitudes: some people enjoy exploring places and trying foods, while others prefer familiar tastes and routines. Your own preference is also clear in the paragraph beginning “My opinion,” where you describe travelling with loved ones and sampling cultural food. However, the discussion remains general and the reasons are only briefly explained. For example, you say exploration brings happiness and information, but do not develop these benefits with a specific example; the explanation of why people avoid new experiences is similarly limited. The final paragraph repeats your enthusiasm rather than adding a distinct supporting point. To strengthen the response, explain each attitude more fully and use a relevant example to show why people might hold it.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces the topic, discusses people who seek new experiences, considers those who prefer familiarity, and gives your opinion. This helps the reader identify the main parts of the answer. However, progression within and between paragraphs is uneven, and several ideas are repeated, particularly the enjoyment of visiting new places and trying different foods in the final two paragraphs. Linking is also limited or awkward: “Similarly” does not clearly connect the food and travel points, while “Meanwhile” introduces another similar point rather than a contrast. Some sentences run together without clear punctuation, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Organise each paragraph around one distinct point and use clear references and transitions to show how the ideas relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “explore,” “cultural food,” “taste buds,” and “unseen beauty of nature,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There are also attempts to express ideas beyond basic preferences, such as describing travel as a way to gather information. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “different,” “new,” “explore,” and “happy.” Some choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “joyable,” “a good taste sense,” “used to with old taste,” and “staying permanent on same thing.” Spelling errors such as “explroe” and “vaiety” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of natural phrases for preferences, benefits, and reluctance, and check spelling and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “which.” However, control is inconsistent, and many sentences contain errors that make the reader pause. For example, “While all of us are different from each other in different aspects of life” is an incomplete sentence, and “they are used to with old taste” has an incorrect grammatical pattern. Verb forms and agreement are also unreliable in “they always ready” and “I always trying to do different and new things.” Punctuation and capitalisation need attention: several sentences begin after a full stop without a capital letter, and some ideas are joined with commas instead of being separated. Practise complete sentence structures and check verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries.
