Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both attitudes and give a clear preference for trying new things in the conclusion. The examples about young people travelling abroad and families continuing the same business are relevant, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. However, the discussion is uneven and several claims are asserted rather than explained. For example, the point that familiar routines may affect productivity is difficult to follow, and the essay does not explain in detail why people value familiarity or when it can be beneficial. Your opinion appears mainly at the end; state it clearly in the introduction and support it with a specific reason or example. Developing each side more fully would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each attitude, and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through the discussion, and examples are generally placed with the relevant viewpoint. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, particularly in the paragraph about people who prefer familiar activities, where the business example, upbringing, and productivity point are not linked smoothly. Some transitions also feel mechanical or are used inaccurately, such as “On Contrast” and “To start with.” Use clearer links that show the relationship between ideas, and make each paragraph develop one central point in a logical sequence. The conclusion is brief and does not bring the two perspectives together.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “comfortable zone,” “take new risks,” “safe and secure,” and “social media platforms.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and there are attempts to use less common expressions. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, as in “keen learner,” “get bored from,” and “grow internationally.” Spelling errors such as “Thier,” “thier,” and “imapvts” also reduce accuracy and can distract the reader. Some phrases are vague, including “something happened” and “similar sort of activities.” Choose more precise expressions and check spelling and natural word combinations; this would make your meaning clearer and your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “as” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors are frequent, and some complex sentences are difficult to process. Examples include “Different individual has different ways,” “few doesn't want,” and “As they grown up,” which show problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent: “risks. Also” needs a space, while several long sentences would be clearer if divided or punctuated more carefully. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and past-tense forms, and build longer sentences only when you can control their structure. More reliable basic grammar would improve clarity.
