Student answer (Band 6.0)

Although some people like to experiance new things in their life, while others prefer to keep doing things they are familar with, but I personally prefers to do new thing in life. Beacuse, I belive that it brings more adventure in life.

I belive that everyone has to try different things in their day- to -day life, rather than doing same work, this is because it keeps you a alive and give you a feeling of joy and fulfillnes in life. Moreover, it also makes you a more active and cheerfull, for example, according to survey of The Times of Canada, person who is exploring their self everyday with new things , they have more serotonin in ther brain , due to this they have less likley to have depression or sadness in their like.In addition their brain never gets old with thair age. Therefor, I prefers to do new things in life.

On ther other side, there are many people prefer to do same task which they are familar with, because they belive that if you do same tasks everyday then those tasks will become more easier to do on daily basis. However, I belive that if you do same montonus work everyday then your will loose interest reagarding those works, for example, according to survey , most of the office workes do same type of work everyday without exploring other departments work, which looses their interest foe their work. In result , most of them are not happy with their work after certain periods.

In conclusion, I believe to do new things in life rather to do same work, this is because it makes your life more enjoyable and also fullfill your purpose of living.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both attitudes and state your own preference clearly: you favour trying new things, and you explain that familiar routines can become easier but may also reduce interest. The examples about serotonin and office workers are relevant attempts to support these points, so the response covers the task and shows some development. However, the discussion of people who prefer familiarity is less fully explored than your own view, and the survey claims are broad rather than explained or illustrated with a specific experience. To strengthen the response further, develop the reasons behind each attitude more evenly and clarify how each example supports the point being made.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a conclusion that restates your opinion. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “On the other side,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and some connections between ideas are unclear. For example, the serotonin claim moves quickly from trying new things to depression without explaining the link, while “In result” does not clearly introduce the consequence that follows. There is also repetition of “I believe” and “new things.” Use a wider range of natural transitions and make the relationship between each reason, example, and conclusion explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to discuss the topic, including phrases such as “feeling of joy,” “exploring,” “lose interest,” and “purpose of living.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “serotonin” and “depression.” However, spelling errors are frequent, including “experiance,” “familar,” “fulfillnes,” and “montonus,” and some word choices or combinations are unnatural, such as “exploring their self” and “fullfill your purpose.” These slips sometimes make the reader pause, although the main meaning is generally recoverable. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, for example, “try new activities” and “become more familiar with a task.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using clauses with “because,” “which,” and “if,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. The opening combines “Although” and “but” incorrectly, and “I personally prefers” has a subject–verb agreement error. Other examples include “it keeps you a alive and give you” and “those tasks will become more easier,” where agreement and comparative forms are faulty. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in the long sentence beginning “for example, according to survey.” Practise building accurate complex sentences, checking agreement and verb forms, and separating ideas with full stops.
