Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this world, there are some humans who are always enthusiastic to explore new things whether, it is a place to eat or shop they are explorer. However, some have the attitude to keep repeating the same things that they are doing for long time. In this essay, I will explain both of these traits. In my opinion, extrovert personalities live their live fully and accumulate more experience in their lives.

To begin with, introvert personalities are often tend to do the same things they know because they might lack social skills and are not comfortable to talk with strangers or don't want to try the new things. Moreover, these individuals prefer to live in their comfort zone and are afraid of taking risks. As a result, they missed many opportunities in their life and lack experience as when we do the same things the outcome always remain same. For example, one of my friends, always visit to the same restaurant and usually order the same dish for eating because she thought that if she ordered something new and she might not like it and end up wasting her money.

Furthermore, those who are always ready to try new things are more independent and confident. They always look for new experience and wanted to live their lives fully. As a result, they accumulate ample of experience and knowledge in their life. Due to which, they find more opportunities in their life and brush up on their skills as well. People with these traits can be good leaders and are always vibrant personalities. For instance, one of cousins, who came in Canada few months back knows almost every well known place of its city whether, it is a restaurant or recreational place.

In my opinion, we should be ready to try new things because it does not only give us new experience but also, broaden our horizon. Furthermore, it assist us to improve our skills and make us more independent personalities.

In conclusion, explorer always get more experience and learn more. whereas, those who live in their shell end up their life with monotonous experience and miss opportunities in their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both attitudes and state a clear preference for trying new things, so the response meets the main requirements of the task. The examples—a friend who repeatedly orders the same dish and a cousin who explores places in Canada—make the discussion relevant. Your explanation of familiar routines is somewhat more developed, linking them to comfort and risk avoidance, while the benefits of novelty are listed more broadly, such as confidence, experience and leadership. Some claims, including that people who prefer routine lack social skills or miss opportunities, are generalised rather than qualified. To strengthen the response, explain the reasons behind each attitude more evenly and develop how trying new things can be beneficial while recognising that familiar choices may also offer comfort or reliability.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, your opinion, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion, and the examples are placed alongside the relevant points. This gives the response a coherent progression. However, some links feel mechanical, and a few references are unclear: “Due to which” does not connect smoothly to the preceding sentence, while “they” in the opening paragraph could refer to either group. The conclusion also repeats the central claim rather than drawing the two perspectives together. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make pronoun references explicit; connect each example more directly to the point it illustrates.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “comfort zone,” “taking risks,” “opportunities,” “independent,” and “broaden our horizon.” These choices help communicate the contrast between routine and exploration, and some less common expressions show an effort to vary your language. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “ample of experience,” “live their live fully,” and “vibrant personalities” in this context. “Explorer” is also used as a label where “people who enjoy exploring” would sound more natural. These issues do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision. Build accuracy by checking common word partnerships and choosing expressions that fit the intended meaning rather than relying on ambitious phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, using clauses with “because,” “as,” and “who,” as well as cause-and-effect structures. Most ideas remain understandable, and the response shows some ability to extend sentences. There are, however, several errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “introvert personalities are often tend” should be “introverted people often tend,” and “the outcome always remain same” needs agreement and an article. In “it assist us,” the verb should agree with “it,” while “one of my friends, always visit” has an unnecessary comma and an incorrect verb form. Review subject–verb agreement, articles and consistent tense, then proofread complex sentences to ensure their clauses are complete and correctly connected.
