Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is an undeniable fact that nowadays people like exploring new places and several cuisines. Many individuals love to try new cultures through different destinations and types of food. Others are more comfortable with what they are doing from ages. In my opinion, we have to explore the world. This essay will analyze my views by taking examples to demonstrate points and prove arguments.
On the one hand, one of the major reason is people learning new cultures by exploring various new things. People usually plan several destinations for their trip to explore the different world as a sense of curousity, and as a result, they will get connected with various societies. In addition to this, individuals also get happiness through exploring the world. They take short breaks from their everyday routines and this short interval of time converts in more mental peace. For example, in my own experience my friends and I always go for a trip once a year and it always give relaxation to our minds.
On the other hand, some person do not like to try new things primarily because of they are very particular about their living habits. These people sometimes scared from taking a risk for even changing their eating habits. For instance, numerous studies have shown that most of the Asian vegetarians travel less to North America or Europe because these countries do not have much source of vegetables. Additionally, few people are more comfortable with their families and surrounding. These people neither go away from their hometowns for so long nor they can live without their families.
In conclusion, many people prefer to live in their families surrounding and enjoy the choice of their food from decades. However, I opine to explore the new destinations and multiple types of cuisines to feel the importance of other cultures.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both attitudes and make your own preference clear: you support exploring new destinations and cuisines. The discussion of curiosity, cultural contact and relaxation gives relevant reasons, and the annual trip with your friends provides a personal example. The contrasting paragraph also identifies familiarity, food habits and attachment to family as reasons for avoiding change. However, some points are less fully developed than others. The claim about Asian vegetarians travelling less is broad and would be stronger with a more precise explanation or a clearly framed example; the point about family attachment could also be linked more directly to the preference for familiar activities. Develop these ideas with specific, balanced support to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a conclusion that restates your view. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. This secure organisation is a strength. Some connections, however, feel mechanical, and a few references are not fully clear. For example, “this short interval of time converts in more mental peace” does not smoothly connect the break to its benefit, while “these countries” in the travel example could be more precisely linked to the destinations mentioned. Use transitions that express the exact relationship between ideas, and make each example’s connection to the paragraph’s main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for the topic, including phrases such as “exploring various new things,” “everyday routines,” and “living habits.” Vocabulary related to travel, food and culture helps communicate the main ideas, and attempts such as “curiosity” and “destinations” show some range. At times, however, word choice and collocation are inaccurate or repetitive: “from ages,” “sense of curousity,” “source of vegetables,” and “families surrounding” are not natural expressions, and “explore the world” is repeated. These choices do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision. Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling, while varying repeated topic words with accurate alternatives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “as a result,” and the overall meaning remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, particularly with agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction. For example, “one of the major reason is people learning” needs a plural noun and a clearer verb pattern; “it always give relaxation” has a subject–verb agreement error; and “some person do not like” needs plural agreement. The sentence “These people neither go away … nor they can live” also has an unbalanced construction. Review agreement and parallel structures, and edit each sentence for articles and verb forms. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
