Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You introduce both attitudes and state a clear preference: “trying new things give more satisfaction.” You also begin to explain the appeal of novelty through travel, food, and enjoyment. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: the familiar approach is mentioned but not explained, and your opinion is not supported with a developed reason or a specific example. The final paragraph starts to discuss benefits but ends before the point is fully extended. The response is also 114 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to discuss both views and give relevant support. Develop each attitude in a separate section, explain why people choose it, and add a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introduction is followed by a paragraph about modern travel and food, then a paragraph beginning “On the one hand” about the benefits of new experiences. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, the progression is incomplete: the familiar attitude is not developed, and the final paragraph does not reach a conclusion. The connector “On the one hand” also signals a contrast that is never completed with “on the other hand.” Some links between sentences are unclear, particularly in the paragraph listing facilities, transport, places, and food. Use a clear paragraph for each viewpoint, connect each example to its main idea, and finish with a concise conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “globalized,” “public transport,” “quality of life,” and “food and beverages.” These choices show an attempt to discuss travel and cultural experiences rather than relying only on very basic words. However, several phrases are awkward or imprecise, such as “pay their attention to try,” “live with their familiar things,” and “huge variety.” Repetition of “new things,” “places,” and “people” also limits flexibility. Aim for more natural collocations and precise expressions, such as “are keen to try new experiences,” “prefer familiar routines,” and “a wide variety of cuisines.” This would make your ideas clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your response includes mostly simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to add clauses, as in “if they need” and “that they prefer to visit.” Meaning is generally understandable, but errors occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “trying new things give” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “There are so many beautiful places have open for visitors” lacks a correctly formed relative clause and verb phrase. “There are huge variety of food and beverages can experience” also combines structures incorrectly. Practise building accurate sentences with one clear main clause, then add a relative or conditional clause where appropriate. Check agreement, articles, and verb forms before submitting.
