It is a hindi language book but also comes in different languages like english, french, urdu, etc. The book named " Sachi Mitratta" written by "Jayshankar Prakash". The book is about true friendship and the importance of having trustworthy people in our lives. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: describing the book, explaining its influence, and discussing its potential impact on others. However, the third bullet point regarding whether the book would influence others is missing from your response. This is a significant omission that prevents the task from being fully developed. While your description of the book and its personal influence is clear, the response feels incomplete because you did not address the final requirement of the prompt. To improve, ensure you check off each bullet point before concluding your letter to ensure all parts of the task are covered.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body, and closing. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'because' and 'also' to link ideas. However, the paragraphing is somewhat disjointed, and the transition between the book description and the personal influence could be smoother. The use of cohesive devices is functional but limited, and the overall flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect your sentences more effectively. The structure is sufficient for a short letter, but it lacks the sophisticated progression expected at higher bands.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'trustworthy', 'loyalty', and 'mutual support' appropriately. There are some minor issues with capitalization, such as 'hindi' and 'english', which should be capitalized as 'Hindi' and 'English'. Additionally, the phrase 'I am writing to be a part of' is slightly unnatural; 'I am writing to contribute to' would be more precise. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the range and precision required for a higher band score. Focus on using more varied adjectives and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'The book named "Sachi Mitratta" written by...' which is a sentence fragment; it should be 'The book is named...' or 'The book, named..., was written by...'. You also have a minor error in the closing: 'Your Faithfully' should be 'Yours faithfully'. Despite these errors, your meaning is consistently clear, and the mistakes do not impede communication. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures and ensure consistent control over punctuation and verb forms.
