Dear Sir or Madam,

The book which influenced me is "Rich Dad and Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. The book is exploring the contrasting financial philosophies of two father. The book emphasises that true financial independence requires financial literacy, Acquiring assets instead of liabilities and how to make money work for us.

This book influenced me to understand how to manage the money and what is an asset and liability. I always wanted to start investing my money in some High yield investments and this book helps me to start investing.

It completely changes how people view major purchases. Many readers stop looking at their primary home or a new car as an asset, realizing these items actually take money out of their pocket every month through mortgages, maintenance, and depreciation. Thereby all the readers can shift their focus from spending to investing and priorities financial education and changing peoples career goals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You described the book's content, explained its personal impact, and discussed its potential influence on others. The tone is appropriate for a magazine contribution. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are more fully developed. For instance, when explaining how the book influenced you, you could provide a specific example of a financial decision you made differently after reading it. The final paragraph is a bit general; connecting it more explicitly to your own experience would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'This book influenced me' and 'Thereby', to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences could be smoother. Some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the paragraphing is a bit abrupt. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed theme. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but more sophisticated signposting would enhance the overall readability.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'financial independence', 'financial literacy', and 'depreciation' correctly. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'two father' (should be 'two fathers') and 'priorities financial education' (should be 'prioritize'). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your message clearly, incorporating more precise or varied synonyms would elevate your writing. You have a good foundation, but focus on refining your use of plural forms and verb-noun collocations to achieve a more natural, academic tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. However, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as 'The book is exploring' (should be 'The book explores'), 'how to manage the money' (should be 'how to manage money'), and 'changing peoples career goals' (missing apostrophe). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement, article usage, and punctuation to ensure your writing is more polished and accurate.
