Dear Sir or Madam,

I hope tis email finds you well. I am writing to contribute my opinion toward your book called 'The book that influenced me most'.

Since I was in contact with your article, I am huge fan of your writing and particularly, your recently launched article. If I am talking about this book, it has become mainly focus for the person who suffer from series dieses and therefore, it include the mitigation of such a situation which is problematic for yourself.

Recently, I am suffering from the dieses called loneliness and the content covered in your book about how to manage a stress, focus on daily tasks, and additionally, control your feelings is helping me during my worst phase of life.

Although many people find a book non relevant, I would confident that this type of books leave a great impact on the human being and also, influence an increasing number of people.

I hope you like my contribution towards your writing and i am looking forward to your upcoming books.

Thank you,

Kevin Peter

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: describing the book, explaining its influence, and discussing its potential impact on others. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, you mention the book helps with 'loneliness' and 'stress', but you do not name the book or provide specific details about its content, which makes the response feel generic. To reach a higher band, ensure you provide more concrete examples or specific details to fully develop your ideas. The tone is appropriate for a letter to an editor, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, each serving a specific purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Although', 'therefore', and 'additionally' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or forced, such as 'If I am talking about this book'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where it is difficult to distinguish between the magazine's article and the book you are discussing. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their intended nouns would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'mitigation', 'loneliness', and 'impact'. However, there are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'tis' instead of 'this', 'series dieses' instead of 'serious diseases', and 'non relevant' instead of 'irrelevant'. These errors occasionally distract the reader but do not prevent understanding. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and proofreading for common spelling mistakes. Expanding your range of vocabulary beyond basic descriptors will also help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'Since I was in contact with your article, I am huge fan' (missing article) and 'it include the mitigation' (subject-verb agreement). There are also issues with tense consistency, such as 'Recently, I am suffering' instead of 'I have been suffering'. While these errors are frequent, they rarely impede the overall meaning of your letter. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, article usage, and consistent verb tense application.
