Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: describing the book, explaining its influence, and discussing its potential impact on others. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention the book is about 'community health nursing,' you do not provide specific details or examples of the content that made it influential. The explanation of its influence is also quite general. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your ideas with more specific examples or personal anecdotes to demonstrate a deeper engagement with the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly,' 'Moreover,' and 'In the end' to link your thoughts. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the connection between ideas is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between your personal health habits and the book's content. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'community health nursing,' 'physical, mental and social wellbeing,' and 'disease.' However, there are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'I am a very health conscious' (should be 'health-conscious') and 'infermity' (spelling: 'infirmity'). To improve, focus on using more precise adjectives and ensuring correct word forms. Expanding your range of vocabulary beyond basic descriptive words will help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('this book have lots of things'), article usage ('the editor described a clearly'), and sentence fragments. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable and occur frequently. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, such as verb conjugation and the correct use of articles, and try to proofread your work to catch these slips before submitting.
