Dear sir/Mam
I am writing this letter to contribute to your article 'The book that influenced me most'. the book that has great impact on my life is "Rich dad and poor dad"by Robert Kiyosaki
Earlier i used to spend what i earn and never thought of saving for future but this book had made me realised how important is to manage your earning. This book had made my financial decision so strong. Earlier i was unaware about investing, savings. But this book had made me realised that all these are very important for a secure future. Currently i am capable enough to decide what portion of my earning to invest, how much to save, and how much to spend. These habits is only developed because of that one book.
there are many people like me who are unaware of investings savings. This book can be a great source of knowledge for them and they can secure their future.
Yours Faithfully

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all three bullet points of the task. You clearly identify the book, explain its impact on your financial habits, and suggest its potential value to others. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the description of what the book is about is very brief, merely stating the title and author without explaining the core concepts or themes. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detail about the book's content. The ideas are relevant, but they remain somewhat superficial, lacking the depth required for a higher score. The tone is appropriate for a magazine contribution, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is generally coherent, and the progression of ideas is logical. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Earlier' and 'Currently' to sequence your thoughts. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is contained within a single paragraph, which makes the text feel dense and less structured. To improve, you should use separate paragraphs for each of the three bullet points requested in the prompt. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are a bit mechanical, and the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'financial decision', 'investing', and 'secure future'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is some repetition of basic verbs like 'made' and 'spend'. There are also minor errors in word choice and form, such as 'investings' (should be 'investing') and 'habits is' (subject-verb agreement). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and ensure that you use the correct word forms consistently throughout your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'the book that has great impact' (missing article 'a'), 'this book had made me realised' (incorrect verb form 'realised' instead of 'realize', and incorrect tense usage), and 'habits is' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the salutation 'Dear sir/Mam' and the lack of capitalization at the start of sentences. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of tense consistency.
