Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify a book about fitness and health, mention its advice on healthy living and breakfast recipes, and explain that it affected your daily routine and time management. You also give a view on its wider influence by recommending it to young people. These points address the three requested areas, but the book’s content and your personal changes are only briefly described, so the ideas remain under-developed. The opening is also unclear: “share an experience about a magazine” does not establish that you are writing about a book, and the title or author is not given. Develop one or two specific examples of how the book changed your habits, and explain why its advice could influence other readers.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the book, describes its subject, explains its effect, and then recommends it. The closing and sign-off also make the letter format recognisable. However, the ideas are crowded into one main paragraph, and the progression is weakened by abrupt links such as “Particularly its a huge impact” and “This book influenced me how to manage time.” Some connections are unclear, while “For example” introduces Arnold without explaining how his story supports the point. Use separate paragraphs for the book’s content, its influence, and your recommendation, and connect each example explicitly to the main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “fitness,” “stay healthy,” “daily routine,” and “bodybuilder,” so the reader can understand the general subject. There are also attempts to express influence and recommendation. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “a huge impact on my daily routine” and “recommend this book all of our upcoming youth.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “consious,” “alot,” and “wheather,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe the book as having “a significant impact” and say that you “would recommend it to young people.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentence forms, including “since i am reading this book,” and use simple sentences to communicate the main points. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences awkward or unclear. For example, “which is i recently read it” combines incompatible structures, while “This book influenced me how to manage time in your life” has an incorrect clause pattern and shifts from “me” to “your.” There are also problems with articles, capitalization, punctuation, and sentence boundaries, as in “In this book written how many people become…” Practise complete subject–verb sentences and use consistent pronouns, then proofread for capitals and full stops.
